Here's an update from my Romania game, 107 years later. A lot's happened. Mazovia's almost gone, gobbled up by Russia and Poland (ironically). France continues its blobbing. Austria's turned orthodox due to rebels in some Eastern European provinces they owned. Sweden dominates Scandinavia, the Mamluks dominate the Middle East. Milan is HRE and is beginning to blob a bit in northern Italy.

Here's a weirder game. Country is Naxos (greek isle that usually gets diploannexed by Venice early on). I wanted more of a challenge, so I started with this country (starts as a vassal with one piss-poor province with the wrong culture and the wrong religion), on very hard, with house rules to not conquer anything in europe until there were no more colonies left, and to focus on islands over land holdings (thalassocracy theme).

This is what the world map turned out as mid-18th-century:
worldmap1739425naxosgam.png

Burgundy is a MONSTER. It's the only country that beat me to some islands (Hawaii and a couple Indonesian isles), and it holds the malaysian peninsula (although the burgundy-colored blob to the west of it is Assam). Persia expanded steadily since the mid-1400s, and every province it holds is Shiite. Nothing has changed in Europe for over 200 years! Burgundy went on an expansion spree in the 1400s, polotsk ate Lithuania, and then everything stopped.

The Golden Horde reformed the government early, became an Empire, and ate Muscowy and Novgorod with ease. Lost a bit of ground to Polotsk later on and was forced to release Nogai by Castile, though. PowerPersia has the same colour, unfortunately.

Map of Naxos:
worldcountrymap1739425n.png

Colombia, the entire carribean, most of the islands on the map, cyprus, naxos, and... siberia. It was the only thing left to colonize because the Golden Horde obviously didn't :D

Update to my Hospitaller game, 43 years later, in 1527.
eu3mapkni1527421.png

Castille imploded after a war with Lithuania which raised their WE to 18, and attacks from all other countries in Europe.
Byzantium is slowly expanding into the Balkans.
Burgundy is an unstoppable BB monster, they have ~70 BB, but after every series of BB wars, they gain new lands and vassals (they have quite an impressive array of them)
Lithuania formed a huge blob in Eastern Europe, from Arkhangelsk to Ostpreussen, to Budjak to the North Caucasus, becoming even stronger than Burgundy, but they weren't able to cope with the combined attacks from Bohemia, Sweden and the Golden Horde, so they imploded, leaving behind the following countries: Teutonic Order, Novgorod, Kurland, Nizhny Novgorod, Polotsk, Ukraine, Zaporizhie and Moldavia, as well as giving lots of regions to the 3 powers who brought them down.
Urbino was the dominant power in Italy, but was brought down by me and Austria after they crossed the BB limit.
Also, Persia is slowly expanding into India, Aragon is becoming the dominant power in Iberia, and the Timmies are beginning a resurgency!

As for me, I'm still allied with the Portuguese, as well as Aragon instead of Castille, though I think I'm gonna fund nationalists in Sivas and then annex the revolters, so I can have all of Anatolia (now half of Anatolia is Maltese and I don't have any more revolts for them to deal with)
I also plan to take all of North Africa and link it with the rest of the empire. through what remains of the Holy Land. I could release Jerusalem, but technically I'm also a crusader state
And I'm still unsure if I should go for forming Spain or not.

Napoli Game, started around 1490..

Diplo-annexed Firenze, gone totally colonial, actually it is an Absolute Monarchy, but i have been Republican Dictator, Administrative Republic, Merchant Republic, feudal monarchy...

Spain collapsed, it's capital is in pensacola, england is imploding slowly, the BBB is on rampage, as Bohemia and Austria.

At some point, the Ottos collapsed, they owned most of russia, wich OPMed fast, Moskowy, Russia and Ukrain annexed most of the OPMs, austria had some defections.

I have done my best to rebuild the Byzantine Empire, they had a skyros (i believe) and now they have some inland provinces...

Another update to my Knights game, in 1600.
eu3mapkni1600111.png

-The Timurid resurgence failed, now Persia and Chagatai/Kazakh in union battle for central Asia.
-Ethiopia and Adal are in eternal warfare since the very beginning, but there never seems to be a clear winner.
-Castille recovered most of their Romanian territories, and conquered Hungary.
-Sweden is close to forming Scandinavia.
-Aragon is close to forming Spain (unless I do it first )
-Burgundy was reduced to four provinces following a massive war against all of Europe, including me (though I was only after the north African provinces), but now they're starting to rebuild.
-Same story with Austria, though they were crushed by Bohemia only.
-Bohemia is slowly continuing its blobbing, within the BB limit
-Brandenburg turned to colonizing, so Bavaria took its place as the primary German blob.
-The Byzantines have slowly taken over most of the Balkans and they continue to take advantage of the wars in the region.
-Novgorod is taking land from the GH at an alarming rate, they might get to form Russia.
Continental powers: Aragon, Burgundy, Brandenburg, Bavaria, Bohemia (the four B-blobs ), Sweden, me, Persia, Ming.
Colonial powers: Aragon, Brandenburg, Portugal, me.

I didn't want QFTNW, and discovery of the east coast of north America never spread to me. Instead, I found out about the west coast, so I had to annex Majapahit, get a core there, and then colonize the west coast!

Interesting things to note: -Sweden in the Phillipines
-Salzburg next to me in Majapahit and in Tierra del Fuego.
-Persia north of Makassar
-Novgorod in Papua.
-Zaporizhia in New Zealand
-Friuli defected to Krakow, and that saved them from Bohemian annexation.
-My capital is now in Malta, where its rightful place is.

End of my Timurids - Mughal game.
Didn't do much the last 20 years; was busy converting the rest of my european holdings.
Techs around 69/70 ... there were times when I was 10 techs ahead of every other nation - around 1700-1725.

100% Sunni. Never crossed the BB limit for more than some months.
I'm quite proud.

I was having fun expanding slowly with Nogai. Just reformed the government, vassalized Khiva, Timurids, Chagatai and Sibir, was getting ready to take Muscovy down a notch... But I'm suddenly getting crashes every month, so I'm afraid I'll have to abandon the campaign. Gah.

My Goal is to conquer all the lost provinces of the roman empire and to proclaim it once more :D - the bigest enemy are timuruids, austria, hungary and bohemia :)

Just finnished my Ottoman game, the only rule I had was to not go over infamy limit. My objetives were basically to convert the European continent to muslim, also destoying the HRE and the papacy.

TUR3.png

I decided my all time faithful vassals Bosnia and Serbia should be left in peace, as well as my early vassalized pupet of Georgia. After capturing Judea and Alexandria I also gave the Mamluks their independence, even freeing some provices for them from the Castillians. A very early PU with the Golden horde helped a lot in this game.

TUR1.png

TUR2.png

The None-GH and None-Mamluk sand people is 50/50 Persia and Syria (why do they all have to have the same color?), Persia my neighbur was my allie for years at the end, Syria ever friendly.

Once I had freed the Europeans from their Christian opressors I showed them the true value of ottoman benevolence:

Just some stats, please observe the OPM trade behemoth Gotland!

The most action outside my own sphere was for the control of the British Islands, the English conquered them all, and waited for it to core, when for some reason Scotland, Wales and Ireland (or yet rather one of the states that then declared Ireland, do not remember which) rebelled with fatal consequences:

BrittishIslands.png

Scotland went on to conquering Wales and forming Great Brittain. Alas, the English revolted from GB and nearly destroyed them towards the end, at my world map GB holds Fife (capital) as well as five provinces in northern Canada (the red in Texas area is Louisiana).

This was a very fun game on my new computer, that actually made the game playable all the way to the end.

It may not be impressive, but I present you: Germany.

100% Catholic, 100% German Region (and some colonies). A little bit of perfection.
(I really had to restrain myself from grabbing other lands. Imperial Ban CB is so tempting.)

Also, the world and Germany's slice:

I am now working towards making my vassals more powerful.
I expect the Netherlands to form; I'll try to make Italy out of Mantua and maybe create a prettier France.

Update:

Netherlands (former Brabant) is 100% Dutch Region. Vassal.
Toulouse (soon to be France) is 100% French Region bar Armagnac/Brittany. Vassal.
Italy (former Tuscany) is Italian region bar Venice, Palermo and Malta. Vassal.
Ireland (former Leinster), just because I like them. Vassal.
Plans until game end:
Remove those OPMs belonging to France/Italy.
Unite Scandinavia (it's hard, since I can't easily grab Akershus/Sjaelland and have Infamy issues).

My report is surrealistic.

I started with Aragon, I vassalized navarra (quite normal) and suddenly I was involved in a typical italian war that finished with ferrara and papal states being my vassals!!! (that is more strange).

Suddenly Castile DOW on Navarra (my vassal) and I had to defend it. I had a similar army than castile and castile had stability problems. There were revolts everywhere and suddenly a christian Granadian kingdom emerged (Almeria, Granada, Gibraltar and Andalusia provinces). But I was shocked when, after making a separate peace with Castile (I won Burgos, Old Castile and Madrid) I realized that all the castilian army was trapped in Africa and the army of Navarra could easily conquer all Castile, and the war ended many years later with and inconditional surrender of castille, that supposed that 35% of Iberian peninsula was under my control, 20% belonged to portugal, 10% to granada and the other 35% belonged to navarra (my vassal). A century latter, when both Aragon and Navarra were strong colonial powers, I could annex Navarra and in 1641 create Spain. I have never seen a game where the vassal was nearly as strong as the overlord. Of course, it is easier in small countries, but we are talking about countries with more than 20provinces each and colonies.
