yes we (they to non-orthodox gamers) can.

Interesting. That's a nice flavor change, at least to place the Orthodox nations as more equal players in Christendom.

And, now, back to the topic:

EU3_MAP_HRE_162961_1.jpg

I am NOT a particularly aggressive player. This is 1629 and this is ABSURD. The HRE was far too easy to form and I didn't even do it right. (i.e., I didn't get super-friendly with everyone before the vassalizing the HRE decision.) Despite that, I'm still steamrolling Europe. Cost for forcing personal unions is also too low: I shouldn't have been able to get all of France for a mere forty warscore (I played dirty and warred with them to force the PU). This has been a sandbox game, but I haven't pressed my BB because I HATE rebellions.

That all said, my invasion army/fleet is in Hawaii, ready to strike Japan. :rofl:

Georgia game 4.1b (1637) I like their light blue color :D. The muslim guys suffered as follows:
1) GH was crushed mainly by Muscovy; I took 3 provinces;
2) OE first expanded in Europe and got into trouble in wars with Austria, Bohemia and Poland. I profitted greatly be eating them from the east;
3) Timmies: I defeated them in a tricky war, and then they collapsed; I also crushed their Persian successors;
4) Mammies: eaten by Spain from west and by me from north-east.
5) Qara Koyunlu: crushed by me.
Georgia is IMO not easy to play; the only thing that is easy is that you have a holy war CB on basically every neighbour.

By "sandbox", I mean that I'm fiddling a lot. With most of my games, I give myself specific goals and thematic restrictions; it may come from Crusader Kings being my introduction to Paradox games. I started as Austria and my only goal was to try and form the HRE and just try and fiddle with all the new toys HttT offers. The economic and military might offered by an early HRE formation (I completed the series in 1470ish) is just too much.

Me playing as sweden, year 1501

As you can see England is kinda large, battling in spain, and they will soon get cores there too. Muscowy is my ally and i fear that they will form russia soon, then i will probably backstab them :p

I dont know the name of the pink nation above florida, but they kicked the portuguises ass a few years ago ^^

Bohemia is also very powerfull, they got a huge army that i cant beat, even with my superior troops. Austria is the lesser part in a union with Naples, and they are battling Milan atm.

And the ottomans are doing really well, im surprised :D

Japan is also very aggressive, maybe a new Sino-Japanese war?

Final images of my Teutonic Order - Prussia - Germany game, a number of wars allowed me to form a generally correct German empire, also liberated the Netherlands from France. The Byzantines collapsed and re-appeared a few times and I moved in to form Romania from rebel states, also took control of Bulgaria.

The Colonial revolters did quite a job in destroying the British, Portugese and Spanish empires abroad, albeit they still retain some territories.

Just checking in to see if this looks like a normal game. This was my first EU3 game after a long long hiatus.
I started out as Castille and formed Spain somewhere around 1600 if I remember correctly. I formed an alliance with France early and it lasted throghout the whole game.

The only thing that really stands out to me is how much of the Baltic Sea Gotland controls. Anything else that seems unusual to you guys?
Any input is welcome! I really have no clue what's going on :)

1760, Holy Roman Empire. I control all of Europe as far as Astrakhan down into the Caucasus including Armenia and parts of Iraq. I control all of Tripoli, Tunisia, Lybia and most of Egypt and along with the Holy Land. Oh and Gibraltar, lol.

Are you playing HTTT? I ask because of France. (Though, perhaps they fared better in this game because you were allies with them!)

Lol @ the huge Gotland!
The Americas look very colorful to me. I don't even recognize many of the nations. Like who is that off-white nation in New Brunswick?
The Bzy are doing pretty well. That doesn't often happen without some help.
Whats up with China? The Ming are no where to be seen, but they haven't been replaced by the Manchu.

Oman GC HttT 4.1b [a few pretty minor mods, Hard Difficulty, Lucky Nations at Random]

And boy were the Ottomans lucky from the start. They inherited a pretty large Mamluks in the first 100 years and never looked back. No European countries had a chance, not in any war.

Of course, they made my life a living hell for about 3 centuries. Then, in the middle of the 18th, the Omani Republic said that was enough.

First picture is from 1769, at the height of the Ottoman Empire. Next shows how the game finished in 1821. I had just wiped out their army and left their country in WE shambles... not only were they losing tons of provinces to me, but they were about to lose plenty more to independence and everyone else in the region that was sick of them. Gratifying, it was.:)

I found Oman on Hard difficulty pretty hard!

Very interesting game.

Playing as Spain, 1560, latest beta + hotfixes, random lucky nations. I've united Iberia, grabbed two provinces in North Africa and two in the Balkans. My colonies stretch from Florida to Venezuela. Spain is Protestant because I felt like it.

France is Protestant as well. For a while they were being run by a Catholic minority regime. I don't know how, but Austria grabbed southern France at some point.

Great Britain has most of Morocco. Early on, Portugal had that area; Rio de Oro is their last remaining province. There's a Moroccan rump state that happens to be Catholic because the great powers have scrambled the religious map.
