Oh my.. is that giant white blob Austria? Never seen them so big although they usually tend to blob quite nicely since HttT

i've seen them once get even bigger, like nearly entire Germany (except for the coast) and the Balkans+Parts of Italy

France had blobbed up the Iberian peninsula and i held everything north of France and parts of Italy as the Netherlands.

when the epic showdown came it lasted from the 1780s till the enddate...

All hail mother Russia. That was a fun game. Started out as muskovy. I made a pertty big gamble at the start seizing a lot of Novgorodian territory, straddling the bad boy limit. But once that was done, I had serious stability problems until recently. Now, it's 1730. I need to take out Austria next but I'm lagging a bit behind in tech and we're almost even in terms armies, I might give it a try tomorrow.

Oh yeah, Brabant inherited scotland, by the way. Overall, it was a pretty standard game.
Blobs ahoy!!!

What's that up in Scotland?

Edit: Ah, lol, its Brabant.

The world in the summer of 1525. I have no idea of the happenings in Europe, but I'm just glad they're taking their sweet time colonizing.
Hopefully I have colonized a big part of the Asian islands before the Europeans come, or even get my own coloniez in America.
Atm I'm trying to make my income larger to afford severeal developing colonies and soon I will need to expand my trade to avoid being left too far behind in tech.

I'm allied with Ming, Champa, Manchu, Manipur and all my vassals.
I own Sulu too, it's hard to see in the pics.

My Timurid > Mughal game, 1664 (that's not on purpose, even though i do like beer:rolleyes:):

I found it harder than i expected to actually become the Mughals, because of all the revolts timurids has to deal with. But once I made it the game became really fun, i conquered mosty for missions that gave cores or boundary disputes, my last war vs the OE (they started) i decided to take all of turkey.

France and papal states are large, so is the OE but they arent very strong. Lithuania is a nice blob as well, castille colonized nicely, and owns some mamluk land. The mamluks were huge, had half of turkey, africa up to algeria, as far south as you see now, and the entire arabic peninsula, but they died to me and the ottomans. Red is GB, also in denmark, northern germany and spain (and their colonies ofc.) Norway is pretty big, the yellow in sweden is Utrecht, the purple in netherlands and germany is Holland, they were much bigger until france came after them. the current emperor is pommerania, they were once huge, owned about half of germany, but they lost to the papal state, france and the ottomans. I only just notice on this picture the green in russia, muscovy used to own all of the GH lands i own now+all of the smolensk lands and novgorod. Ming broke apart, the incas were left alone, Ireland broke free from GB and is colonizing, and bright yellow in northern SA is genoa.

Well, I've just finished the Austria->HRE game I posted early in this thread, and I'm pretty pleased with the results.
Note that the colour has been changed in the world maps; normal HRE green is really hard to see.
hreandworldjan1821.jpg

hreonlyjan1821.jpg

The Empire was Habsburg until George I, my 8-8-8, 57-year monarch, and was then taken over by the Hanoverians, becoming a Constitutional Monarchy about the same time.
Spain and Britain both colonised extensively; eastern Russia and much of South America and the Caribbean were liberated in a series of colonial wars. America is now owned entirely by the HRE, and all American provinces have Austrian culture except for Nazca, which the Brits got to.
America is dominated by two centres of trade; inland Mohawk, nothing special, and New Vienna, which is quite impressive by my standards:
hrejan1821newvienna.jpg

The most interesting thing this game was the Reformation. In the early days, the HRE was quite tolerant, and the heathen tolerance NI meant Protestantism and Reformism spread through the empire.
When the Hanoverians took over, however, things changed. The NI was dropped and Europe was slowly reclaimed from the heretics. The second Hanoverian king took it to the next level, though. In his 49-year reign, he wiped out the Protestant faith entirely, crushed and force-converted the Reformed nations of Great Britain and Sweden and Finland, and wiped out Reformism everywhere- except for here:
eu314.png

This Finnish province only converted to Reformed in 1787, two years before Finland was force-converted back to Catholicism. The other five Finnish provinces had all been converted to Catholicism from Orthodox and Reformed since then, and I was hoping this one would. As it is, it's the last outpost of the Reformation, and there was an active missionary there at game end.
The entire HRE was Catholic by game end, except for the Sunnis in Turkey, Arabia, and Egypt. All non-Catholic provinces of the Empire can be seen here:
hrejan1821heathens.jpg

All Turkish and Holy Land Islamic provinces have missionaries working in them.

Other countries: Aragon colonised Africa, then I came in and took a lot of Aragon proper, so they moved their capital to Africa in the late 1600s.
Iberia was a mess; France retreated there after I pushed them out of France, and for a long time it was split between Aragon, France, Granada, Castille, and me. Castille reasserted itself though, and tried to recover a colonial empire in the last few years.
All else normal, except for Sunni Persia and Shiite Gondwana...

All in all, an awesome game. Really liking HTTT, although I'll admit I struggled with infamy for a while, though I only went over once, and then only for three months.

My sweden empire in 1707:

Ottomans have grown really really scary, nothing else that is out of the ordinary.

Naples is in personal union with me as leader, Bohemia should join my union when their current king dies.

Just some nations stats.

My first EU3 game ever...just got complete + HTTT a few weeks ago. So for my first game I went with Castille ->> Spain. Major wars between England, France, and Burgandy. They all have huge armies and have been going at it for over 50 years. Burgandy is currently the strongest with France faltering. Eventually I may jump in and help, but I've been busy getting my colonies rolling. Other notable mega-super power is the Golden Horde. I notice they normally fall apart for most people, but they are ridiculously strong with 100k+ troops rolling into Europe. Also Austria has blobbed a bit and I think they will end up fighting off the Golden Horde.

So here is the progress so far at 1486.

Spain_1486.jpg

So my Spain game got kind of boring, so I decided to challenge myself with a smaller nation. Just started a couple of days ago. I am Brabant (light greenish color bordering England + what remains of France - close to bordering English Channel). This has been a lot of fun and a HUGE challenge. Right off the bat I'm at war with Burgandy. He brings in 10k troops right aways and all I have is about 3k troops with new ones building. I eventually fend him off and take him out. Next I get a conquest mission on Liege (France's ally), and France DoWs me. At this time I have about 10k troops, and he brings in three stacks of 20k each. I eventually fend these troops off in my own territory and eliminate all his regiments. All these other nations take the opportunity to crush France at this point and France basically falls to nothing. Next super power to fight is England, who is beyond massive in terms of military power. I've already had one conflict with them and made them release Wales + Scotland. Note Ireland formation.

Well here is progress up to 1451.

Norway/Scandinavia/HRE

This is my first game in Httt. I started as Norway, formed Scandinavian nation around 1550 and made that HRE decision in 1767. Screenshot is from 1820 and I'm allied with Russia, Great Britain and Portugal. Standing army of 705000, navy of 228. Very happy with this game since I was powerhungry :)

Just finished playing my Gondwana-game (2 province nation in India for the uninformed).

Had to westernize which set me back quite a bit, but it was a fun experience.
I tried to keep within the BB-limit at all times.

Anyhow, PIX!
