The end of a long game. I'm Russia, the Byzantines are my vassal. I built them up from one province (Lesbos) several hundred years after they were annexed by the Ottomans.

EU3_MAP_mp_18201228_1.jpg

How do people get games that end with this pretty of closing screens? Inevitably, all my games end with total patchwork cluster@#$@s in Europe and the computer never successfully forms the HRE. In my current game, Austria owns the middle of Iberia, and despite allying with Portugal and Spain, I can't get them to take it back!

The Papacy : 1404

I immediately moved towards Centralization *got destabilized thankfully instead of pretender* and I immediately insulted then attacked Umbrio while recruiting 2,000 men. I annexed them immediately then waited a bit.

Naples as usual took Epirus and got into a war with Ottomans, leaving mainland Italy open. I recruited 2000 more men and attacked, sending 2,000 seiging all their provinces at once, while my Navy patrolled and the Ottomans pinned them In Epirus. This is the result of the peace.

The Papacy : 1433

The Papacy has funded nationalists in Epirus who broke away from Naples, creating their own nation. The Papacy attacked following their independence and was drawn into war with Naples and Sicily, Sicily became a vassal of the Papacy and Naples was annexed. By 1422 it was possible to annex Sicily, and the next 11 years were spent sending gifts and demanding annexation. In 1433 the papacy annexed Sicily.

So now I am the surrogate super-naples with a new name. The army now numbers 16,000 men with 8,000 cavalry, and the Ottomans are done for, meaning Venice will be a tough nut to crack as it has swallowed Greece. I will also come into contact with the HRE in my conquest of Northern Italy. Badboy is currently at 20. I also have a DIP 8 pope, so I was able to pass the liquor act. I also got my first national idea, Military Drill, and am using all my slider moves on centralization.

The Papacy : 1458

I attacked Milan in the 1440s and seized Parma, Pisa, and Siena. Manuta seized Verona and then Savoy attacked and annexed them.

Then I got the mission to reclaim Ferrara, so I attacked and annexed it. Aqueillia, Venice, and Manuta were allied. I took out Mantua and got Verona. Then I took out Aquellia and got Istria. Then I peaced out with Venice for Tresivo *not before supporting rebels all across Greece to keep them tied down*. I was then attacked by Savoy. Not wanting to deal with waiting for BB to go down I simply nasalized them.

Now I plan to take out the central Itallian States still alive, and get all the territories required to get the "Kingdom of God on Earth" event.

The Papacy : 1481

EU3_MAP_PAP_148131_2.jpg

EU3_MAP_PAP_148131_1-1.jpg

Genoa and Venice got into a war, and Venice won. It stripped Genoa of its empire overseas and reduced it to its capital, so I swooped in and annexed it. I then mopped up the rest of the Itallian states via Excommunications, with the exception of Tuscany which I got a core on via event. Savoy was peacefully annexed now in 1481 after constant trying since 1684. I now need to build a Navy to combat Venice, and am only 1 province away from forming God's Kingdom on Earth, and that province is Venice...

The French Empire 1513; Ad Infinitums instant core on Goa is a broken mission in itself, only took 3 wars to take all of india, so I'm removing the free core so I cant advance as fast next time.

Nice borders in Europe as you can see. The Reformation has just started, Brandenburg is well on the way to becoming protestant and forming Prussia. Historical in its struggles with Austria over Germany.

The quasi-historic colonies in SA and the Caribbean are my own doing; colonize > sell. GBR,, SPA, POR and NED all took QFTNW but non acted on it for over a decade, so I gave them a few colonies and they're really getting into gear.

The Netherlands is my former vassal, I built it up then set it free. I have played no part in any of the other nations somewhat historic borders.

As per AI's Great Powers system things are relatively stable in europe. Though I am in what seems to be permanent alliances with numbers 1, 3 and 4, preventing any conflict between them.

Brief history of Europe thus far.
#1 Austria
Has been #1 since the powers first assembled, she maintained Emperor status until I was forced to dismantle the HRE. She carved a land bridge to my (cored) border with the HRE and began insult spamming. I took the innitiative when her entire army was in the north fighting Poland, declared war on the electors, occupied their capitals and Vienna; ending the HRE. Austria instantly became my best buddy, honouring every CTA and abusing the alliance CB whenever her stood to gain from my wars.

Was at one point on what seemed to be a quest to form Grossesdeutschland, however she turned her attention east allowing Brandenburg to take on the task.

Engages in regular wars with Brandenburg, their "Brothers wars" (vicky2 much?) have consumed most of the (former) HRE.

Currently engaged in a war with Brandenburg and Milan over the last remaining HRE states; annexed Bavaria and taken a bite out of Wuttemburg thus far.

#2 Brandenburg
Her survival was a miracle to the say the least, former #3 Bohemia reduced her to a OPM, when Britain's Hannoverian provinces defected to her she got a second wind and reclaimed her cores and more from Bohemia following it's crushing defeat at the hands of Austria. Currently well on the way to forming Prussia, half of her provinces are Protestant so she'll convert soon. She's also close to having the necessary provinces for Germany, which will be a first for the AI in any of my games!

Has been neutral to all other powers bar Bohemia and Austria, how long this will last I can't say.

Currently fighting Austria, Spain, the Netherlands and Great Britain. Annexexd Mecklenburg, Saxony and Trier thus far in the war.

#3 Great Britain (Was #6 but shot up over it recovered from collapse)
She waged a 15 year war against me whilst simultaniously conquering both Ireland, Scotland and most of Burgundy. I reclaimed the latter and left Scotland to her fate. She sided with Burgundy, so why would I help her against the English?

Collapsed following annexation of the Hannoverian cultured German states following my dismantling of the HRE. Her huge was exhaustion from fighting both Poland and the Ottomans caused Tyrone to revolt, claim and for Ireland.

She immediately abandoned all hostility towards me, offered what would be a permanent alliance and took a 5 stab hit to take Ireland back. Focuses on maintaing the statue quo in Scandinvia, has recently began to colonise Africa leaving Sweden free to nibble at Norway and Denmark.

Currently fighting on Austria's side in the war against Brandenburg.

#4 Spain ( Was #2 for the majority of the XIVth century)

Formerly Castille, began as a flakey ally but follwoing my intervention against Aragon has become one of the aformentioned permant allies. Was defeated epically by the Ottomans and Morocco and has since shown no interest in North Africa, instead her attention is on Greece and the Balkans. Following the Cuba aquisition has began to colonise the spanish main.

She's fallen in rank recently due to her last war with (almost) the entire Muslim world, wracked with rebellions. I currently have my entire europan army in Iberia rebel swatting whilst she recovers.

#5 Ottomans ( Switchs places with it's ally Poland reguarly)
#6 Poland (Has between #5 and #6 since the game began )
#7 Muscowy (Soon to be Russia )

Cant say much about the other 3 outside of whats been mentioned above and what can be inferred from the screenshot itself.

Milan surprised me the most, after 60 years of owning northern italy, the south being all Sicily, she has through a series of wars annexed Sicily. All of her holdings are cored and she recently got a boundary dispute on the Pope, so AI Italy may form.

Locked in war with most of Western Europe might be Milan's end though.

Anywho, long post but its been a truely strange game for me!

My Ottomans game, started 1399.
Mamluks, Hedjaz, Syria, Tripoli, Naples, Armenia and Yemen are in my union and Wallachia is my vassal. Because of the causes of infamy, I choose that way to expand in to the east.

I'm Byz (obv). That spot of purple in North Germany isn't me though… it's Lüneburg. There is actually a Savoy—which is HRE—in the middle of that messed–up Austria blob (capital, Munich). Burgundy is pretty much France, and has been for a while. Muscovy used to be HUGE, and was half of China, but then collapsed (it is currently overrun with rebels). Scandinavia formed… and promptly loss territory to everyone, including a FORMER Lüneburg blob which collapsed into two provinces before re–expanding to its current form.

Game has been messed up, man.

The Kingdom of God on Earth has come into fruition! The Pope has created a centralized modern state with the church at its heart. Italy and all Latins rejoice and welcome the Pope. The Papal Navy triumphed over the Venitans and in 2 wars dismantled the Venitan Empire. Now the Pope turns his eyes towards the Balkans, and the many Orthodox Factions with rich lands there.....
