No, most of the Euro wars center around killing Austria-Hungary. Big alliances are: UK, Sweden, Ottomans, Poland... Russia, AH, Spain... Romania, Germany, Denmark, Italy... France, Swiss, BeNe (as Lux joined Germany). Alliances have been airly stable all game (1902 now). Denmark has actually taken MORE of sweden (who is now communist), because Germany had a Cut to Size on poland, UK and Sweden Joined in, Germany smashed UK and sweden tried to go to war via russia, lost tons of troops in the process to attrition. Denmark just went up Gotland since they controlled the naval landbridge, and added state wargoal.

Yes it is, Canada was released by the UK and it was admitted into the US shortly after.
Anyways i was playing as Yugoslavia, here's a more detailed map of europe

Wow. Is there even enough time for that. Or Jingoist pops, for that matter? Who were the Great Powers at the end?
I picked jingoist in any event that boosts it and put in the anarchist-liberals after my economic base was laid down. the great powers were Croatia, the ottomans, ruthenia japan Poland Russia and Sweden.
ok, newest patch, going quite "well" so far, when it comes to taking Russia/Austria apart at least. The problem is Germany. It's the most ridiculously overpowered ai-germany I ever seen. 300 brigades without mobilization, jingoist party and strong allies. Wouldn't be surprised if the game crashes when I declare war on them trolol.
Also, newest patch seems to be running quite slow for me for some unknown reason, so it's a little painful at this stage.
Hi, I played a little further, this is my Empire 40 years or so later.
If somebody had some tips how to proceed, I would be very grateful. My problem is I have high infamy and my situation in Europe is not the best. France and Russia have an alliance, Russia with the Ottomans, Austria hates me of course and Italy is also not really on my side. France is attacking me regularily to get Alsace-Lorrain back, together with Russia and Romania, until now I always managed to defeat them, but last time barely. Great Britain is not really helping. In crisis I'm often on my own or nearly. I have Sweden, Switzerland and Belgium as Allys, which is ok, but they are not helping a lot.
Anyone has any tips?
And how do you get these nice colored world maps as screenshots?
Hi, finished the game at last. After my last post things really went well. My military and especially my nav got so powerful, that I could defeat several Great Powers alone. Great Britain I could blockade, so they didn't get on the continent, Russia had only a small corridor above Poland to get through, that I could also blockade. Long story short, really nice game, proud because it was my first Victoria game. Here the world:

It's 1865 and I'm in the middle of an aggressive Mexican Empire game. It's a total madness and really feels like an arcade game with the US and the UK throwing doomstacks at me.
I don't think I had a single peace period which lasted for longer than one month. If I manage to stabilize and survive a little bit longer I will post an update.
Interesting fact: Scandinavia formed really early in 1939.

Basically I just won the initial war against Texas and the US. Antonio López de Santa Anna with his +2 attack secured my victory fairly easy.
Due to the reluctance of the other great powers to contain non great powers especially on other continents I was able to get a 100% warscore peace deal and acquired Georgia, Florida, Oregon, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Alabama if I remember correctly.
Of course I was promoted to a great power shortly after. That was when things got really dirty as an alliance of the UK and Prussia declared a containment war on me and started what I simpy call the circle of death and destruction. They refused to peace out unitl I built up a warscore of +20% after years and years of fighting more or less victorious battles.
Unfortunately the truce with the US expired almost at the same time. Again I was bound in a year long war mainly fought by my mobilized reserves because I simply lacked the resources for a regular army. I managed to hang on and grabbed another bunch of mostly colonial states only to realize that the UK again already declared war on me and so it started all over again.
And it did not stop until the late 1870's :angry:
Here is another picture. It's 1880 and I survived the grudge match with the US. The Uk was busy fighting crisis wars against France, Austria and Russia so I got some time to breath and build up my economy and more important to reduce my exorbitant war exhaustion and militancy.
I will post an update when I take my revenge on the UK and launch Project Sunset Invasion 2.0.

Spelhus, make life easier on yourself. Take the states around DC, so that when DC rebels appear, the rest of the country can't stamp them out. Their army will revolt over and over, and pave your way to take the entire country with ease.
However, I have been told, multiple times" "Those are the ugliest border's I've ever seen" and "my eyes hurt to look at this" or "this map should be a bannable offence to post"... but your borders are indeed very pretty.
