Custom Nation. It's the best country in the game and it's addition was the best change to EU4 since launch.
If that doesn't count, the runner up is the Mamluks. It's one of the few countries I have played more then once and there's just so much you can do with it: Go North and conquer your way through the Ottos into Europe, go south and unite Africa, go west through Morocco and create Muslim Texas, go south-east and expand across the indian ocean or go north-east to India through Persia...

I do love Byzantium, it's a very nice part of the Ottoman Empire.

We know you love BYZ, that's why in 1.14 you're allowing us to create Byzantine Sweden while reeducating its inhabitants with superior Danish culture.

Do you have strategy for this one posted anywhere? This is one I want to take a stab at soon.

As for the topic, I don't really have favorites per se, but there are countries that I tend to try out each time and some games I've enjoyed immensely. Cuzco--->Inca--->Sun God was a blast, as was Poland-->all their achievements, but both are basically one and done. I tend to play Austria, Ottos and Byz with each major iteration of the game though.

It's not that difficult actually.
I backstabbed Poland-Lithuania when they went against teutons. Bohemia and Muscovy helped me when i declared independence.
I don't exactly recall who else helped teutons (probably standard team: Mecklenburg, Hungary) but that was too much for PLC to handle.

In the peace treaty, i grabbed the independence and a 4 province corridor to a common border with HRE Bohemia.
Then i kissed Emperor's ass to let me into HRE. Took some loans though.

After that, i had my butt covered for the rest of the game. Ottomans would not dare to attack me. Converted to catholicism, revoked the privilegia, then removed kebab.
