One of the more fun playthroughs, after going Protestant to form Prussia, changed back to catholic so i wont have to deal with Dotf when gobbling up catholic minors in HRE. PU over Russia, with Spain Portugal Japan Hungary as allies.

Was salty about having my own dynasty replaced by Rurikovich, but thats how I got the PU, somehow junior branch rules in Portugal and Austria, so until game end i was spamming disinherit to get the Hohenzollerns back. (lol)

A couple of screenshots from my England campaign. I managed to defeat France and PU it, which is lovely. Wanna hear something funny? Portugal cucked Castille by taking Granada, and me allying both of them means that Spain is still disunited. Not to mention Castille refusing the wedding after the Yorks came to power in Aragon. :D

Alright, I think Imma call it a campaign here. :) Nice, relaxing game as Aragon --> Spain with a colonial focus. I got the achievements that I wanted (the Aragon one and Imperio Espaniol) and I'm fairly satisfied with my borders, although I'm a bit annoyed that I forgot that one Breton colony in Africa in the peacedeal and the CNs are frankly a mess. :D Secondary goals were to kick all other Europeans off the Americas and to make Africa christian - I'd need to conquer a few Mamlukian remains to complete the latter goal, but eh. ;)

My start might have been lucky - Castille started friendly, so I was pretty much safe from any AI aggression. Austria was my best buddy all game, while I dropped both France and Russia when they wanted me to join their offensive wars against another ally of Austria. France promptly lost Paris to GB in that war, too :D

I started the game by mostly fighting the Berbers, although I also managed to eat Provence's southern holdings while France was busy elsewhere, and slowly expand into northern Italy via that route. AE was annoying, of course, and I did have a rather large coalition forming, but not firing, against me, which only disbanded when me and GB got both called in by Austria and I had a 10-year full regency to melt AE and improve relations at the same time.

Iberian Wedding unfortunately fired before Castille could pick Explo, but at least they still took Expansion as their 4th pick. I mostly kept them around because I took my sweet time for the Aragon achievement, but it also netted me four additional colonial nations before I finally formed Spain. The other non-Aragonese CNs are French Canada and Portuguese La Plata.

edit: Note the beautiful shade of red east of the Ottoman :) Timmy was allied to the Ottomans for quite a while at the start of the campaign, which presumably allowed them to keep and annex their subjects. I was constantly hoping that they would form the Mughals at some point, but after they broke up with the Ottos, they kept alliances with Sind and Jaunpur, which denied them the necessary provinces.

The Buddhist strikes back finished. Was a surprisingly easy campaign, One shotted it :) The main problem was that you are constantly trying to catch up with the stronger blobs I encountered. First a stronger VJ, then a stronger Bahmanis, then a stronger Jaunpur and Gujarat, and finally a very strong Timmy and Ming. I actually got threatened war on a few times by Spain as well for Goa.

Top Tip: Don't let C&C fire without humanism and while having 150 OE. Not a lot of fun xD

Pretty fun run so far, started with developing Renaissance and taking Transfer Subject from Age of Discovery, claiming Dalmatia owned by Hungary and Venezia owned by Venice. Venice was getting destroyed so I took Venezia and expanded a little in Italy. Allies are Siena, Bohemia, France, Poland and Provence.

Finished this very frustrating Korea Choson One run. I made the mistake of taking over the mandate. The permanent claims over all of China were pretty nice, but it at a certain point I was touching other blobs on all sides. My mandate never got above 50, played a long time with 0 mandate. constant rebels, no mercenaries and worthless soldiers made me just quit multiple times to return a few days later. I've never used as many forts as this game, prosperity and devastation became unbelievable important. In the end I got the achievement, but I'm staying away from the mandate for some time. Maybe a nice challenge for a few of the better players on here, a Ming run with 0 mandate for the whole game? :)

Check both of the screenshots posted before your comment and look at the symbols left from the date.

One of them has an eye as a symbol. Clicking it gets you into a timelapse. Only one of them has it, because it's a DLC feature. You need Mare Nostrum for it.

Well I finally managed to survive as Byzantium, after god knows how many restarts...
Now I have Mega-Mamluks to deal with and almost no avenues for expansion, as I am surrounded by either allies, massive rivals, or allies of rivals. Luckily Karaman was allied to lonely little Candar, so I can use that to my advantage and cripple him even more, and so I do.
I will have Admin Tech 10 soon, now I am considering which idea group to choose next. I have 2 ideas:
1. Diplomatic. I wanna play the PU game and ally Tunis to pincer the Mamluks. i've noticed from my Kharabakh game that Mamluks love to fight Tunis when they are vs Tunis and Ottomans. I can ally Tunis when I get the extra relation slot(gotta try and keep up in tech), thereby evening out the playing field.
2. Quality. Numbers won't help me much here, as Mamluks outnumber me a lot. So why not go for better troops instead? I have completed the defensive idea group already, so I won't be short on MP, plus I can abuse fort mechanics

What do you think chaps? My aim is to restore the Pentarchy

Pick Diplo ideas for WS red later on. Try to get Timmies as an ally for AE reduction.
Drop them when they dare to ask you to participate in their wars. They're not important enough to warrant your attention.

Mamluks are hardcoded to be incompetent.
Get rid of all Turkish minors, push south into Mamluks. Done.

Diplo it is then, but I am unsure about allying Timurids, as it will take a while for me to rack up Favours. It should be relatively quick with Tunis tho, plus hopefully he will stop raiding me.
Getting rid of Karaman is easier said than done, as they are allied to Mamluks. I will make them break alliance, so I can attack them head-on. I will also spam forts on the Mamluk border to distract the Mamluks in the inevitable war and make them waste manpower. I have Defensive ideas after all

You don't care about favors. You want the AE reduction. Allies only get half the aggressive expansion other nations eat.
