My "empire" - Where the heart is
One of the most fun achievements I've played.

IbYVtOl.jpg

8pByZ8R.jpg

One of the most intense runs I've had in a while. Every single Sunni nation blobbed like mad. It's like the AI knows what I'm going for and desperately wants me to cry.

Final Boss was Mali with 202% WS, just to spite me. Actually played a pretty normal speed until 1485, then went into panic mode.
<100% OE, only 2 loans, corruption is a bit high and stab sitting at -3 is painful. Not going to play that campaign any further ^^

Yeah the Dahomey one is pretty nasty, not as difficult as Taungoo but definitely need a little spring in the step to get it done. Screw institution focusing, just go all out conquering the place.

IIRC I fed a vassal or two and used force-religion to get them into fetish which counts. If you had to actually convert the Islamic land to Fetish by 1500 it might be the hardest achievement in the game (maybe impossible, but won't say that w/o running math and still probably not since you could theoretically get zealots to carpet some bankrupt idiot vassal you give land), but since that's not the case it's more doable.

It's impossible if you have to convert because some of the provinces have -3 to -3.4 strength. Can't even get that with an Inquisitor+mission bonus and your vassals can't convert them.

Spawning the institution can be done with dip points and some mil, but you still need adm4+3 ideas in religious for missionary strength. Can't get that unless you're not coring any province, which gives you ~600% OE and even if you do pull it off you won't have enough time.

-2% for Sunnis is just a major PitA

If you swap promoted cultures/states around, run inquisitor, boost stab to 3, and use the edict you can get ~6.5 strength against -2 Sunni plust development. Most provinces will have 3.5% strength or more then. The problem is that is STILL only ~ 1 province per two years, completely miserable. I think you'd HAVE to manage with zealots, but you can't go Sunni --> piss off dhimmi to go back...it's impossible for rebels to force Fetish because reasons.

I guess you could TECHNICALLY go Sunni, piss off Dhimmi, reduce yourself to an OPM after provinces are converted and declare bankruptcy. You'd get a game over most likely, but the resulting nations would in fact be fetish :p.

Nearly done with my Oman->Mughal Third Way ... only need two mop-up wars in Indonesia (against colony-blobbing Brunei and Malacca), a mop-up in North Africa (Tlemcen and Morocco, who at their largest owned eastern Iberia, and still owns the Portuguese/Spanish Atlantic isles), an OPM in sub-Saharan Africa and 2-3(?) bashes at the neutered Ottomans, followed by a mop-up in Caucasus/Ukraine)

Only reason I've reached as far northeast as i've done, is that Yeren decided that Sunni was the proper syncretic religion after eating Oirat and started converting their territory. The unowned territories in Eastern Africa and Congo is Coptic and Fetishist enclaves, that I've never quite gotten around beating up beyond cutting my way through

Oman -> Mughal somewhere in the 1580s.

There's still one officially Sunni nation, Ottomans, who due to tolerance to Hearthens doesn't have any Sunni provinces, but both Catholic, Orthodox, Coptic and Protestant.

Interesting Europe through, with very limited influence from me, other than beating up Otto several times over the last 80'some years

AI Hannover

Aragon holds PU over France, and have done since 1654 (but can't form Spain since I'm sitting on a few provinces in Iberia), Portugal was exiled to Chile by Morocco

Denmark was down as an OPM out of Gotland and Norway was exiled to Iceland, when Swedish Scandinavia ran into a string of bad wars against England/Denmark and Russia

Ragusa somehow managed to join HRE early on and managed, with Austrian help, to beat back Ottoman attempts at eating them

PLC never happened, and they were partitioned by Ottoman, Bohemia, Teutonic Order and Russia, Teutons got eaten by Russia and Bohemia and Poland rebelled out of Bohemia.

Best i can tell, other than Conquering the lowlands, England never really warred with Scotland in spite of them being the lonely Reformed with no allies (and consistent rebellion problems), being more interesting in colonizing and defending their overseas processions against me, Aragon and Scandinavia

Saxony's quest for chinaware (aka Meissner Porcelain achievement). Although I dub this run as make as many countries bankrupt. Somehow Poland bankrupt 3 times, Lithuania 2 times, Ottoman 3 times and Bengal 3 times.

Being Protestant, won the league war and have vassal swarm. After I took Ottomans crimea, the balkan lands and force him to spit out Mamluks/Egypt, I just let him live. It was fun to watch the Ottoman die by haasa and Persia. This run was also the crappiest run for Castile. He lost the Trastamara dynasty quite early making him unable to get the iberian wedding and his starting ruler + heir ruled so long that at 1500 he still has admin tech 4. It made spawning colonialism at 1525 by Scotland.

This is the end of the Bharati empire I formed from Vijayanagar. It was a great game up until the point where I made a stupid mistake. The way I read a peacedeal I would stay under 100% overextension, I was wrong and now I'm dead. The overextension is pretty much gone but over a million rebels spawned and I already bled 250k manpower in fighting them. Then Ming declared war and they outnumber me 3:1 and they still have 160k mp. Even mercs won't fix this since I can't rectruit them easily thanks to the trillion rebels.

akVmNXv.jpg

I was allied to Russia for a while in an attempt to keep Ming at bay but Russia decided they didn't want anything to do with the east anymore. I managed to block European expansion into Asia just in time, fought a single war with France to take down their colonies at the Cape, then never saw them again until Brittany recently beat me to the last few provinces in southern New Zealand.

Europe is a mess. England destroyed France and went on to be a superpower. Morocco annexed Portugal and held it for a long time until Aragon (who had annexed Castile) kicked them out. But Morocco is now in the process of smashing Aragon again.
England and Savoy recently fought the war of Brabantian Succession, which dragged most of Europe in.

Other things of note: I just got vision on the US eastcoast, and that green land is Abenaki. Leon exiled to Florida, England dominates south America apart from French Brazil and the English dominate the American Westcoast apart from Portugese Alaska. The Burgundy colour east of Texas is a massive Susquehannock.

Finally, my first WC as Ming. Now that I've completed it, I have to question if Tributaries were ever tested. I was getting so much monarch points early-mid game that I often had them overflow. I felt like the game was on Easy mode. No coalitions, tons of monarch points, diplomatic establishment of tributaries, money from trade and provinces. Oh, and I haven't realized what Absolutism does until 1730, lol. WC would have been completed sooner.

Now just colonize those few remaining empty provinces.
