Lazy game as Inca after accidentally discovering that overlords aren't called into battle against natives. Was surprised at Creek, another sun kingdom, which had gone catholic and ate 113% warscore of land after Admin Efficiency. Got A Sun God and A Pile of Gold Achievements, only fought france twice, once as part of a coalition, again to capture the Atlantic Islands. All provinces in mainland North America are mine except the few catholic provinces owned by England and the 13% of Creek I was waiting for a truce on.

Sorry about not having a political view for the americas, I was too busy ogling the old world.

Lithuania has a PU over Poland and is now declining due to Strategic Ping-Pong by Otto and the Scandinavians (good band name :p)

I went Polynesian and Inti because I just had to be edgy like that, but didn't realize you can't do the reforms as a non-primitive. Would've just stayed Animist if I knew. Used the Madurai opener to get a rich start in India, save-scummed to spawn colonialism and moved capital to Miwok as soon as possible to take advantage of the crazy good trade company regions. Stayed a tributary until the mid-17th century at which point I was pretty much expanding at will into every direction I wanted. I knew I was on time so I never had to push too hard, I only went over 100 OE once or twice and only broke a truce once for the last war. Probably could've shaved off a decade or 2 if I just wanted to brute-force it.

Did you use the Kyoto Engine?
Kyoto had somewhere between 40-50 development by the time I got there so it didn't seem too practical. I tried to use it once, it gave something like 235% liberty desire and so I just revoked vassalization and conquered them later (I also gave them a few of my own cores so they would move their capital out of Kyoto so in the end I didn't really benefit much).

Burgundy - France - Prussia -Tag switched at the very end to Roman Empire for the achievement.

Few miss steps, should have stayed french till the French revolution and then switched to Prussian.

Was trying capital city shenanigans in 1800, moved capital to Bermuda tried to then shift to a south American province but kept saying I had rebels, I only found the province the rebels had taken once I switched away from the grey of Prussia and into the purple/pink of the Romans. The sneaky bastards had taken Hormuz....

Still, You can see the colonies taken whilst Burgundy, and then the blue of the colonies taken whilst French, then the grey of Prussia and I think Mexico only flipped to a colonial nation once I was Roman.

Some showing of my custom nation game. Basque reformed nation made it interesting. Defeated france in the early going I had all basque provinces plus a few others in southern france. Focused on playing tall with development and leaving Iberia alone, colonising was a focus. Domianted the west and south African areas, with a vassalised Kongo. Took only a couple provinces in the south (rio, etc) and avoided nations there just wanting the expensive provinces. Focused on north America in terms of colonization. Took some southern indian lands for the extra merchant and also the pacific and new Zealand. Conquered Italy and dismantled the HRE. Got rid of the Ottomans with my good pal the commonwealth. Russia never formed as the region was battered by Muslim Powers and now a very strong Persia. Ottomans slow expansion lead to the rise of Egypt and their dominance of Africa and the Morrocans battering ibera lead to no spain being formed and Aragon only recently getting castile and Morocco out of Iberia.

I think Ethiopia is alot of fun if you can beat the Ottomans the first time they attack you, but if you lose....nobody wants to be your friend.

I have the coastline from Alexandria around to the Bosporus, but Hungary snatched Istanbul right as my truce was expiring :(

If you look closely, you'll see I also forced the Ottomans to give me Erevan (which now has Amharic culture and Coptic religion)...

This is when I had Hungary (PU), Spain (PU), Syria, Mamluks, Scotland, and a client state in France as vassals. I wasn't trying to get a PU with Spain (but they were a long-time ally) and I probably wouldn't have fought my ally, Russia, over them if I had a choice. Game also tried to give me a PU with Lithuania (twice!) but I save scummed those since Russia had eaten over half of it at the time and I had no idea how they got a Habsburg ruler (I only RM'd HRE vassals, Russia, and Spain).

HTTjQ6x.png

And this is basically the end of the game. The only benefit I got from forming the HRE was far more trade income, otherwise, I'd think the HRE is stronger by stopping at Revoke the Privilegia since it's not like I could state all that land. My only vassals now are the client state in Iraq, Spain, and the CNs while my allies are Persia, Vijay, and Japan. Most of my expansion in the 1500s and 1600s was in Italy, the Balkans, several provinces in NE France, and Scandinavia so I didn't expand in this game as fast as I wanted but beating the Ottomans down kept costing me about 3/5 of my manpower even with half of my infantry being mercs. I also don't think I'll prevent the Shadow Empire event again since it slowed my expansion into NW Italy by a huge amount due to the AE.

I decided to try Very Hard and figured I would play an easy nation so I wouldn't get smashed. The Ottomans turned out to be ... a little too easy for what I wanted.

blXo8cm.jpg

Probably never doing a WC again unless I upgrade my CPU, since even recruiting a single merc takes like half a second lategame when my nation is this big and that gets really annoying really fast. And templates are very not an option either.

30 million attrition casualties because I was too lazy to split up my 100k stacks and with a maximum of 2.0% attrition (defensive + quantity + defensive/humanist policy) I didn't have to. Too bad I didn't have that yet when I fought Ming in Dai Viet's territory for my first war against them. Should've taken a screenshot of the casualties in that war, over a million on my side and two million for Ming.

Scotland; Circa 1660. Spain+France hugbox is mkaing advances on the mainland difficult; and Scandinavia is allied to the PLC too. Netherlands is my vassal; however.

BwhSLvK.jpg

However; due to the spectacular failure of the colonizers [Spain is Aragon-formed; and Aragon very rarely takes Colonisation] I've basically had free reign over the New World and punched the friendless Portugal [Aragon-Spain isn't historical friends with Portugal!] every now and then for their colonies. Don't worry about Louisiana. They declared their own war and are seigeing a fort while natives do native things.

hW8SdH5.jpg

Between my own and the Dutch CN's; Scotland dominates the New World. Currently attacking Portugal again; and afterwards I plan to invade the Inca; and from South America make my way to Austrialia and Indonesia. If I'm going to break the AI alliance blocs stopping me invading France then I'm going to need a fair bit of power.

Allows you to plop down reasonably fast-growing no-maintenance colonies for 20 DIP apiece to any uncolonized province that borders a non-colony province of yours and is connected to your capital via land. Meaning that conquering adjacent natives increases the number of colonies you run exponentially. You can run dozens upon dozens of them at the same time, at no cost, and sweep over the Americas as a plague wave.
