Yeah, you are right, but I think Miedzymorze sounds cooler for a non polish speaker than Commonwealth

Here's my Raja of the Rajput Reich. Nagaur> Bharat> Revolutionary Bharat.
I did this run to celebrate my 1000 hours in EU4 and it has been the most challenging achievement I've done so far but it was quite fun, especially with the fact that I had to fight alone most of the times (way too much AE with everyone)

Land bridge through Russia. Armenia is my March.

Colonial territories thanks to Sligo (3 provinces in Ireland and some VERY annoying level 8 islands in Oceania)

Finally got Guarantor of Peace. Russia almost never forms in my games.

Decided to try Sikh, quite satisfied with the +10% discipline guru.

But still a duchy and not an empire, but not bad for the 2nd game I finished (after spain), and again with a lot of fun events.

Yes. It is. They changed to Revolutionary Austria when I was in a coallition war against them (with spain, papal states, montferrat as austrian allies, and france/uk/russia/sweden/bosnia/and some hre members on my side . Their rebels resieged the capital I sieged and another fort I didn't had, and after they got those two forts they must have accept the demands

You could have used Rzeczpospolita, which is the Polish name for the republic (currently 3rd Republic). It's translated to "Commonwealth" in the case of Poland-Lithuania, but is more like "Republic" in the modern name for Poland.

I'm pretty proud of my Byzantine Empire in 1650. Well on my way to forming the Roman Empire if I so wish, but I think these borders are quite pretty, so I think I might just leave it there.

This was going to be a Pizza attempt; but a really weird succession of events happened to make this run... well... strange.

1: Aragon allied France; basically suppering any chance of me getting independence anytime soon. I was hoping for the Iberian Wedding -> getting Independance from Castile. I don't like to fish for starts.

2: Aragon declares war on Navaara. Alone. Castile is allied with Navaara and kicks Aragon's teeth in. Instead of taking land; they demand my freedom! Freedom without the stabhits and independance wars? Cool. But that also makes it harder to get back my Sicilian cores since 15 year truce.

3: While this is going on; the Ottomans are in a hard-fought war for Albania against Hungary and Serbia which lasted about 6 years. The Turks won; but at great enough cost that they were in debt and had rebels.

4: While the Turkish war was going on; Venice declared on Hungary, and Ferrara and Austria slapped them down. Corfu became free; and Alabnia got re-instated from their Venician province.

5: With me now independant; I swept in and took Alabnia and Corfu. The Ottomans were obviously still recovering since they hadn't DoW'ed Byzantium, so I did the totally natural thing to do as soon as I allied France for security [Castile broke the alliance Aragon had; it's back now sadly so no using France to get Sicily back...] and went and Vassalized Byzantium.

Clearly; the most standard start for Naples is 'Vassalize Byzantium'. Also clearly what I should do after becoming a Great Power is culture-shift to Greek; become Greece and get better NI's than Naples. Which isn't a big accomplishment but I doubt anyone's done Naples -> Greece before; right? I'd say form Byzantium but I'd actually need to religion-swap to Orthodox as well to do that which might be somewhat tricky and dangerous given Orthodox lacks friends.

Of course to do either of these I actually need to beat the Turks. Probably multiple times. As Naples.

Now I'm just hoping the Turks get into a war with the Mamluks; who have eaten some Baylik land and some of Qara's land since the Turks are still reeling, so I can call in Hungary who'll want his cores back and feed Byzantium.

Oh; and to add onto the weird in this game?

Poland declined Lithuania Union. Is currently losing to Teutons while Lithuania is getting attacked by Denmark [Which owns half of Novgorod too].

Siena is a vassal of Burgundy. SOMEHOW.

Got One Faith finally (already have WC so didn't go for it in this game, though I could have. I left my ally for ~300 years alive, France, and South America, and Australia is really all that's left.)

Last province my colonial California refused to convert so I released him, trucebroke and converted it myself.
