Yup, I know. But developping them to compensate for what I fed them will require insane amount of monarch points. Like, insane. They are over 800 development and they have -100 LD from me granting them provinces. The only way I can keep them loyal for the next 100 years is by feeding them at least all of Scandinavia, and making them a march.
I would actually like to integrate them with all the policies, but I need to eclipse the Ottomans. They keep on sabotaging my reputation to the point where it is totally absurd.

I have other troubles right now though. Like a coalition of half of China and Europe after I took 300 development from Prussia and the same in China. :p

Savoy---->Piedmont-Sardinia. It's 1681 and I'm probably not going to finish this game because it would just be a slog from here on out. I have had Spain and England under PU for a while, but I they are still busy colonizing so I didn't integrate. I already integrated Brittany and Austria. Portugal has my dynasty too, so there's a good chance I could claim their throne as well if I played to the end.

I used the "Independent World" mod. It starts the game with all releasable nations and all vassals independent, and it dismantles the HRE. It turns out that this makes it kind of easy to play as Savoy, since France and Austria are both much weaker than normal. In the future, I might use this mod if I play in East Asia, since it gets rid of the Ming Monster, but it's too easy for Europe. I'm not a great player, and I didn't have much trouble becoming the most powerful in the world with 140 years to spare.

40 years to finish off the Ottomans at their greatest extent. Plus a little extra.

With Sicily and the Baleares, your run is actually looking more ERE than Ottomans. Good job.

After many, many attempts, I have finally gotten Gothic Invasion. Boy did I get a lot of AE:
BC00C77D499B783BFAAF9C6770899022225A62AA

My strategy was to ally anyone around me, and use them to beat Crimea. I did so and got 3 provinces, making me strong enough to ally Poland. Then, using PLC as a battering ram I no CB'd East Frisia to vassalize them, followed by Friesland. Combined, one allowed me to annex the other. After that, things were easy: butter up Austria, join HRE, get France, PLC, Scotland and Denmark(which kept it's PU's the whole game) to do my dirty work, expand, expand, expand. Once I'd gotten about half the northern HRE I became so strong I could wage wars faster than AE could cool down and I started facing ever larger coalitions, but they were no match for my ridiculous alliance block.
I only got into trouble once, when Scotland's colony attacked Norway's colony, causing Scotland+France+other allies to face off against Denmark+Russia. I got called to arms so I figured I'd rather betray one ally then two and join Scotland, but Denmark and Russia tore through me and France's armies, sieging down my country entirely, while Scotland had it's army relax in the colonies. Denmark wouldn't let me peace out without annulling both my remaining alliances, which would have been suicide in the face of the coalition against me so I couldn't peace out, even though France did. Eventually Scotland and Denmark both had low enthusiasm but Scotland refused to make peace for years. Eventually I lost all my manpower and Kuban to Russia.
Note: I was also allied to Austria in the beginning, but I dropped them for the Ottomans.
I might continue for a bit to see if I can PU Denmark, which recently got my dynasty. Spreading Orthodoxy as a "third way" in the HRE was fun, and I even got to be emperor once since I don't have AOW.

At one point, I think I had 600 AE with Burgundy.

How does it come that your AE was so high by simply taking down the HRE in 300 years?
That's a very interesting strat you got there, anyway, worth giving it a try. This changes from the usual "turn Sunni, ally the Ottomans, steamroll PLC" one.

An update on this Nagaur run, still going really well. I am about to enter Germany, which is why I take a break.

Excuse the bordergore around Commonwealth, I played "I will take all of your forts this war", and I won.

Fun Fact: Russia is fourth in development and would be #5 GP. I keep them loyal by hardfeeding them, but I will probably turn them into a march at some point because I don't see how I can manage such a monster.

A WC is still possible, and at least I will secure Raja of the Rajput Reich and The Sun Never Sets on the Indian Empire.
Things become more and more blobby, and I am more and more afraid that I won't turn this in a WC because of a stupid level 8 fort in Galapagos or something. At least I am pretty sure that I will have Raja of the Rajput Reich, the Sun never Sets on the Indian Empire, and Fanatic Collecitivist. I also came pretty close to We bled for this in my first war against Ottomans, but I had call for peace and could already take 100% warscore when they had 800k losses so I stopped it there.
XBd5IA5.jpg

Ming is the third country in term of development. Beja is tenth.
H66cMRa.jpg

I ended up being able to integrate Russia by using a cheesy strat. I was drowning in money so I spammed level 8 forts in their land, so that they ran into debt, and I could get -20LD every 10 years from paying it. As you can see, cash is a bit more tense than what it used to be, but I prefer it this way, monarch points and prestige are more useful than infinite money. In Europe, Brunswick and Transylvania are vassals to whom I will feed the HRE, I may release Greece as well. I trolled a bit and released Ardalan even if this was totally suboptimal, I want to feed them Asia Minor to have a 1k dev Kurdish state.
RQgM3An.jpg

Ottomans don't have Enlightenment yet but there is no way I can do the Protectorate strat from atwix, most of the world already has the Enlightenment so I can't feed them backward trash land.

I have Korea out of truce soon, so I will feed another 100% OE to Ming, and during this time I will have my truce with the Ottomans ending up. Then HRE again, rinse and repeat.
Spain and England really scare me with their countless tiny islands that I can't even see, especially as my navy is quite weak and I have 0 presence in Americas yet. Owning the entirety of the Old World will still be a good run from my 4 development start, but I will be really disappointed if I can't make it.

Take exploration. Because of your tech group, the islands won't be revealed in time... and will be a true pain. If at war with a nation owning some islands, take the islands first before they can spam forts on them. Full annex colonisers to get their CN's, then release them as vassals. This can only be done when at peace, so be sure to wait with fullannexing until the end of a war cycle to avoid OE implosion.

I will get explo last group, that's what I planned. And yup, I will try fullannexing the colonizers. But the trouble I ran into in my previous game was that I couldn't full annex Portugal because they had these random forts in random islands, that took 1 year to reach and 1 year to siege. So I couldn't ask for the provinces because I didn't own a fort in the area.
I don't know if I will manage it this time. Anyway, I losed plenty of time into a magnificent war against all of Europe and the remnants of Asia, with more than 1M loss on each side, but at least that allowed me to put everyone in different truces and to break lots of alliances, + to annex minors. It just burned my manpower and took close to 10 years for little immediate gain, so I hope I will still have time.

Commonwealth and Hungary are PU's (with the Habsburg dynasty), Milan, Munster, Algiers, Mamluks, Catalonia and Bulgaria are marches with most being among the most powerful nations in the world in their own right. Still think I'm missing something about trade as while my trade income is a huge (for me) 2000 ducats a month, I've seen pics in here of much more, such as a recent Novgorod poster who had ~9000 ducats a month or something. No idea how to reach that. Anyway, a fun game.

You can feed all of asia into Novgorod and the AI, especially in India, develops like mad.
I mean, it's already high dev to begin with.

While you on the other hand "only" had America to feed into the English channel and might've even lost some on the way with Castille pulling quite a bit.

There are also less manufactories in America than in Asia, especially in player's hands.

My modest little Bahmanid game. First Ironman I've completed the whole way through.

...Actually, now that I think about it, this is probably the first EU3 or 4 game I've fully completed from startdate-to-enddate at all :p.

I do rather like how the borders turned out. Persia and the Ottomans had an unholy alliance the whole way through, which I'm glad I never had to tussle with.

The oddest thing was Ottoman Australia and its perverse desire to spy on me.

I really like your borders, there is no superstrong overwhelming power. You might consider convert it to Victoria.

You are an evil monster for allowing PLC to be eaten that much by Russia.

Also, holy shit, but that's an incredibly successful Prussia in the Bahmanid Hindustan screenshot.
