that's a tag you don't see everyday
It's the first country I thought of when I see the new Coptic mechanisms though. Got A Blessed Nation and Baa Baa Black Sheep (because I started with QQ and released Armenia) with this game.

(my other 1.18 playthough is Fetishist Antemoro. You see, I'm the kind of player who really wants to try new religious mechanisms out... Sadly I didn't get the corresponding achievement, since Antemoro actually started as Sunni)

Y u no get rid of ottoturks?
I really should do that, but I was relying on the alliance with them for a bit too long, and due to some mistakes (misleading tooltips!) I took a few unnecessary HRE provinces causing massive coalition, I couldn't break the alliance when I really should be ready to attack them.

A bit funny that the Ottomans answered many of my call-to-arms to my holy wars against Sunni countries. :D

In the end, I didn't have enough time to completely eat them.

The Ottomans weren't the priority target though. They might be the #2 country, but their troops weren't particularly strong after the Janissary decadence, and they don't have decent allies, and eating them doesn't give hefty AE everywhere. The random alliances between France, Austria, Prussia, Spain or Netherlands (look at its size in this game) are more troubling.

Muscovy --> Russia 1.18
eu4_map_RUS_1820_01_26_1.png

Was mostly trying to stay in historical/nice looking borders and didn´t expand mch in the last 100 years. Shame i forgot to annex the last norwegian province off of France in the last war it got me "we bled for this" though ... Got 2 marshes - Super-Finnland and Super-Kiev. Georgia has been my ally most of the game and has been rewarded adequately. Russia still is super fun, highlights are wars against commonwealth and ottomans, later colonial wars and just destroying France and Spain for hegemony.

Russia still is OP as shit when their income and manpower begins to snowball. Trade has been a substantial income all game long. They do have shite rulers though

Finished my Germany game:

Kurland and Lombardei (reddish thing in Italy) are marches, Friesland is a vassal.

Poland was a massive PITA for the until like 1670, but after that they were nothing but a paper tiger and fell quickly to Russia and me. Got a PU over Austria in 1676.

Allied to France (which were rather weak this game) and the Ottomans.

I know It's nothing special to most people on these forums, but thought I would post my Brunswick -> Hannover -> Germany Game.

upload_2016-11-20_17-12-9.png

Savoy and Riga are Vassals. Poland and Lithuania have been allied and helpful the entire game, so they survive to the end. I had thought about taking the traditional German Empire lands from Poland, but ran out of time. Czechoslovakia, Kingdom of Italy, and the Knights of Hannover are client states.

Spain's dynasty had a strong game. A de Trastamara rules in France, Germany, and leads a personal union over portual. Somehow they even got on the throne of the Knights of Hannover, who were released with my dynasty before the the senior branch went extinct. The von Welfs, who until 1770's were the leaders of my great nation, had also gotten on the throne of portual and even had the claim throne cassus belli for a time. Somehow Spain overruled that. Today, the junior branch of the von Welf's lives out it's days as the head of the puppet state of Czechosloavkia.

Rest of the world:

Konigreich is my colonial nation, but only because we got England and France to concede it to us in wars.

Things of note from the campaign:

  • This was my first ever game starting in Germany, and it resulted in the achievements for becoming Holy Roman Emperor and Dismantling the Empire (as well as a few others which came by chance and no planning on my part).
  • We came back from having lost a coalition war at about 1500.
  • After 600 hours of play this is the only game where the Protestant and Catholic league war fired. It was a blast. As Holy Roman Emperor I was leader of the catholic league where myself, Spain, and France took down the protestant armies of England, Russia, and the Ottomans. Other minors were involved as well. This was the turning point in the game, as when I peaced out Scotland I took Fife from him, giving me a foothold in England. Over 1 million casualties on each side.
  • My original goal was to form Hannover and rule over Hannover and England through personal Union, (a la the House of Hannover from real history). Unfortunately England rivaled me and would only join through force of arms. Germany just kind of happened in the late game as there isn't much to do other than gobble up land after 1700. I spent the last 70 years of the game warring around trying to clean up borders. Wish I had time for one more war with the ottomans to fix the balkans though.
  • Denmark was a 2 province minor near the end of the game, exiled to the two islands in the Baltic. I have no idea how it happened, but they broke an independent Sweden which controlled all of Scandinavia.
  • The USA actually exists! When they joined me in a war vs france I tried to give them land so that they would have historical borders on the East coast, but they "didn't want" it.

Before anyone asks why Hungary's still alive - they're allied with Austria (my ally), Russia and France. After our rivalry ended (because I formed the Commonwealth) I allied them as well. I'm hoping to get a PU with them as I did with Bohemia and Bosnia. I might also give Wallachia to Bulgaria or release it again because owning it myself is just silly at this point . :p

Sweden (I've saved them from their Danish overlords) and Poland (apparently they decided that Black Sea is enough water for them) were my long-time allies.
I've also grabbed Grand Duchy in the process.

What a fun campaign! Started with Grand Armada in mind, so I've concentrated on making myself rich through controlling world's trade.

The most successful reformation I've seen in my games:
religion.png

Protestants led by Austria! won the league war (without any involvement from my side).

Colonialism, Global Trade and Manufactories spawned in my country, so late in 18th century I decided to conquer
Stralsund (home of Printing Press), Verona (Renaissance) and Stockholm (Enlightenment).
