Didnt remember i got rome that early... anyway, the ball gets rolling. Breaking France actually was easy. What made problems later on was the aftermath... or should i say my "allies". I used Castile, Austria and Burgundy to pile on France. Well, until Burguny Inheritance happened. The burgundy you see here is already my Vassal which i just broke out of France again.
So i learned breaking France comes at a price if you dont pay attention... i gain territory, but so do my allies, in this case mainly Austria (and britain whom i foolishly gave cores back). And that bites me in the back, because Austria got pretty powerful and was a huge pain when i wanted to touch anything in italy.
Of course they would break alliance soon and turn into my main enemy...
Eventually, Netherlands broke free and Ottomans took the balkans. While Ottomans invaded Austrian mainland, i carpet sieged the low countys. When the Ottomans peaced out, i jumped on mainland austria with my vassals and Poland. Austria went into negative prestige, their king died and lost PU over Hungary and Bohemia. I broke as many countrys in the low countys out and the emperorship went to Brandenburg.
F****** finally. This is where it got easy, the turning point. Up until now Agressive Expansion was a Bitch, conquest felt so slow because AE built up huge in all of europe everytime i spreaded myself. But whoop-de-whoop, Italy has +50% better relations time tradition! AE cooled off much faster then and was no problem anymore.
Used Poland as new ally to crush Austria. So of course they would grow now... but that is so far away i dont care. Brandenburg never lost Emperor, so the HRE is actually free for taking.
Two last things that ticked me off: Couldnt get rid of England, because they were allied with Portugal, Castille, Aragon AND Russia! Im not immortal, i only have half of france and italy. Aragon itself was allied to Portugal and Britain itself... That was at least doable. Blitzed Aragon, wiped portugal and carpet sieged it until it peaced out, and picking off English troops after they landed.
I admit i used cheese here to get the gascogne, because its point costs were to high to get it directly from england, i waited five years until i got 100% due to having sieged all of aragon, then use that to ask for the english provinces. Then coming back for Aragon later on with the same procedure.
