After mulling over Granada's starting position for a few days, I finally finished the last achievement for EU4, until Wealth of Nations gives me something new.

After max relations with France, guarantee, enforce peace on England and subjugation of Navarra:

Privilages Revoked in 1606. Only took that long because I went a little crazy with the enforce religion....

Well time to feed Lithuania it's cores back... still have 40 years til the ruthenian cores poof.



Couple nifty things that happened so far;

Kurland broke free due to rebels, then annexed the livonian order. U go Kurland.
I was able to beat a swole up Burgandy in 1540. 4 years before Flanders would have lost half it's cores. I wasnt able to make a vassal out of him, but it definatly took the bite out of Burgundy for the rest of the game.
Poland Finally annexed Lithuania... out of the hundreds of games I played, this would have been successful commonwealth number 3... if I didnt just take Vilna.


Spent many many years 6 relations over limit... but I'm almost caught up in DipTech already. Was king of funny to see 16/10 up until I passed the free vassal reform (Ewiger landfriede?). But even after that I went ahead and allied a bunch more and was still 3 or 4 over limit. Now I can start breaking marriages, and making vassals outside the empire.

You get a PU CB after claiming a throne, this only works with a country that /already/ has the same dynasty like yours.

When you claim someone's throne, if you aren't of the same dynasty, it sometimes will change to "a noble from YOUR house will become their ruler". So yes, claiming the throne has an effect on whose dynasty will take over, but we don't know exact conditions for that.

Well my Armagnac game is coming to a close, any ideas on what minor I should play next? Preferably western, but will do anything not native american lol.

Thinking of Tirol, (play as Austira, release vassal + tick play as released vassal box)

Tirol wouldn't be too hard, in fact likely easier than Armagnac, you get a gold province, highly defendable land. Without the gold province Austria seems to be gutted in most of my experiencse.

Also considering Silesia. Won't have to release them, fun challenge sandwhiched between our overlord (Bohemia) and monstrosity PLC.

Update on my Spain, its 1709 and probably boring, since Spain is an easy country:

My fear of Britain was without base... They couldnt expand like me, and i was able to just build a bigger navy than theirs. No storm destroying the spanish fleet and ending the golden age of spanish world domination in Britains favor in this world, no thanks sir! Spain remains superior! britain allied with norway and together they defended their N-american colonies. These declared war on castilian-lousianna... this couldnt stand. This dragged me in a war in which i took what is now castilian-canada and spanish cornwall.

I tried to run for emperor, but for the love of god, i couldnt get more than one elector to vote for me. Austria passed Erbkaisertum by now and is close to revoke the privilegia. It will probably be succesful and make a mighty HRE blob, my future main enemy. I should be able to match (or outmatch) his might, tho.
While austria worked on his HRE, i snatched Provence and Naples in PUs. Our dynasty: de Valois! Last country with this dynasty besides me is brabant which ownes the lowlands and inherited mailand. You're next... funnily enough, France is a noble republic. They finally broke their alliance with austria, so thats the next target.

franko-anglo-italo-spain... should be able to put an austro-HRE back to the backrow.

Brandenburg>Prussia>Germany. Still have a hundred years more to play, but I'm not sure if I could or even be bothered to do more. I just fought off a Spanish led HRE coalition. Because I couldn't be bothered with the micromanagent and high risk of getting stackwiped by Spain when busy managing units elsewhere, I just collected all the 300k troops, stomped around until getting the max 40% warscore and peaced out. Still had to pay 4000 ducats, and I wiped out 300k manpower and 240k troops. Not sure if the map would have looked any different if I went more slowly. I got a bit greedy the last 50 years because if I didn't take the other HRE minors, Austria would. Forming Germany was the very last thing I did, and got pretty much most of it.





Timurid>Mughal.

Could have done more with Sweden and Norway, but I got a regency for 14 of the last 21 years so I wouldn't have time to annex them. Missing a tiny piece of India, but I couldn't be bother fighting GB and Spain for three small provinces. Didn't have time to take all of Atthya because I was also focused on taking down Lithuania as well.

I was going to raise you with my OPM-Mediterranean-Empire but ... damn ... now I feel like I wasted my time (well not really ... it's quite the fun campaign)

I REALLY want to get Malta but those pesky catalans don't let me land units ;(
