Tech costs a ridiculous amount, so virtually no progression is made throughout the entire game.Could you describe this problem? Last time I've played this mod, it was an alpha and still called Steppe Wolf, so I'm not really remembering much of it.

I think they fixed that. You can also purchase a temporary boost if you have enough money - and you have always enough money.Tech costs a ridiculous amount, so virtually no progression is made throughout the entire game.

I'm surprised you still haven't taken western Europe.. Especially since you have Britain and Rome in your empire.
EDIT: 666th post, beware, the end is nigh!
Yea I'm not sure what happened there, I was a tad busy with my own neighbour. Though it's possibly an inheritance of Napels, now that I think of it.

You're doing all right. Here is my campaign as the Pope. It is 1438, and by now I have a large part of Italy, although still far from enough to declare the Kingdom of God on Earth. Austria is also my ally. I have made a few interesting observations about the campaign, however. The Ottoman Empire appears to be somewhat weak, with Venice and Greek minor countries controlling much of their former holdings in Europe, and the Byzantine Empire is still around. The also got Adana, which I've never seen them do; taking control of a Middle Eastern province. Genoa has been ousted from Italy, and is now relocated around Crimea. I am also surrounded by a couple of very large and growing countries, like France and Hungary, which may be problems in fifty years or less.

For some reason, I'm having difficulty in making money, only making 7.53 ducats a year, and losing a little bit of money every month. What advice do you have for playing as the Papal State? Am I doing all right for 1438?
