Shortly after this, Minamoto annexed the everyone.

Honestly, the best I could do. It's so dependant on luck. The change of truce times makes Japan much more placid and hence there are less places that can be used for patriot rebels. I noted that you can use anywhere that is rebel occupied as a base for patriots, so Ikki-Ikki occupation can be exploited a fair bit (speaking of which the localisation for the Ikki-Ikki rebels still hasn't been fixed).
Asia is really, really limited in terms of what you can do, the comparitive glut of decisions for Christians and Europeans is so overwhelming. If it weren't for the AI's stupidity I'd be absolutely behind in terms of income.

I could try again and optimise a little (I lost at least 100 years on noble rebels resetting the slider for plutocracy - which is the most important slider to you in this game, aside from perhaps centralisation for spy efficiency).

Settings:
Advisors: Historical (This is bugged because if you create an advisor, and they lack a death-date, they are immortal).
Merchants/Spies/Colonists: Normal
Difficulty: Very Hard
Aggressiveness: Low
Map Spread: 200 Years
Lucky Nations: Historical

In the beginning of the game Aragon was allied with France and Norway allied with England so when England declared war upon France Aragon and Norway joined in so Aragon sailed up to Iceland and took their holdings and i just didn't feel like sailing up there so i just took their Spanish and African holdings never really paid attention to Russia but yeah they've been dominating lately after almost collapsing

If you are playing D&T, you should have sweet conquests missions giving you accepted cultures (syrian arabic, egyptian arabic, iraqi arabic, maghreb arabic), which I find very useful since turkish is not in the arabic culture group anymore, but with byzantine. Thus, PUs with the Arabian world are not as useful as in vanilla, since it does not get cores and you'll have a bunch of uncored wrong culture provinces. The downside of those missions is that you have to get the 1 infamy per province, but it's managable, you'll only have to slow down European expansion.

I love declaring war on nations the moment they're fully occupied.

Unfortunately my economy is nonexistent and I have trouble routing even a single group of rebels while all of my provinces have high risk, but there wouldn't be any fun in it otherwise.

Did you start out in Rhodes? I didn't know The Knights actually existed as a nation back in 1399.

Yep.

Byzantium declared war against Ramazan on day one but I got there first. Then while Dulkadir was occupied by Timurids I declared war on them before they made peace. Then Karaman got into a fight with the Ottomans through alliances, so they wouldn't take any land from Karaman. So I declared war on them as well. I didn't fight fight a single battle.

Did Minamoto and Tachibana revolt, or did you really get this far playing as Japan before unification? If so, I'm impressed.
I really got that far, Tachibana was made a vassal at the same time as supporting the shogunate by Minamoto, ending the last round of wars. So because Minamoto was a shogun when it annexed the other Daimyo, iirc the code means that when there is only one daimyo left it auto-forms japan.
So if he had remained Kampuku/Taikon (Don't understand the difference between the two), I could have kept on abusing spies.

I was really lucky with Fujiwara and Taira, because there was catholic zealots due to the event chain, but because they didn't start from a 'wrong' religion province everything stayed Shinto. These rebels then defected to (bizarrely) Kazan (Who at this stage was an OPM vassal of Muscovy on the Caspian Sea coast), so I could use patriots to get all of the provinces in the north (Shortly after I had colonised the north island - had a HR to just stick to japan proper until I had eliminated the shogunate), and so because patriots often continue after the defection it was sort of a rolling wave of defections until the ceasing of existence of the eastern two daimyo's.

I will try again, more likely sooner rather than later. Its certainly a different way of playing it, one of the few things I'm disappointed with after playing with them for a great deal is Asia in general. It really needs quite different mechanics and additions to make it even 'semi-realistic'.

Update on Ottoman empire it's been 41 years since last time i posted

I've marched further into Italy and also intergrated The Mamluks didn't notice the 62 infamy until i got 3 rebel events that together totalled 60 thousand rebels which was the same as my ENTIRE millitary force, but thanks to alot of ducats i hired 25 thousand mercs and killed the rebels and i didn't plan on fighting Muscowy, but they attacked me so i took a couple provinces from them as well now i just need to build a large enough fleet so i can transport 30-35k troops into Spain and get a foothold there and then i will begin marching into Europe hopefully taking it all before the 17th century

Having to westernize all 5 tech types is annoying... at least you have a one-step path to Western Unit Tech, though.

wow, it's like you've never played this game before, how can you play so bad even with death and taxes? 62 infamy is an absolute joke, I'm sorry for being honest but it's the truth.
