I decided on doing a fun Middle Eastern campaign

I've had many opportunities to expand into the Mamlukes, but mass revolts and occasional Timurid resurgence made this far slower than I hoped. Hopefully Mughals at some point!

Empire of the seven lakes

My federation have 10 Vassals: Baluchistan, Kazan, Kazakh, Ak Koyunlu, Nogai, Mongol Khanate, Muscovy, Sibir, Polotsk, Armenia and 14 allies at the end of the game (including, long time, Vijayanagar).

I think he is counting the oceans as lakes, due to the fact that he has one random province on each ocean border, along with Lakes Aral, Caspian, Baikal, and Balkhash.

I have not counted in addition the oceans, I counted the seas (Black, Marmara, Azov).

But it can be that way.
Then: Empire of the seven lakes and three oceans.

Here's my Dutch Empire. It's a leader in trade and income, controlling all of the West and East Indies. It has ALMOST maxed out all techs (so close but so far: each 72 lever tech costed 300k at this point, which would take 100 months EACH). Most fun story: Scotland started out dominating England and almost took over all of Britain. The remnants of England were inherited by Sweden. England revolted in London, and somehow rose back up to claim almost all of the British Isles.

Eh.... Are you going to tell us what happened to I-WANT-EVERYTHING-France, Blob-Muscowy, weird Bohemia, Failed-Austria and Canadian USA?

Finally a game where Sweden doesn´t get stomped!

AFAIK Caspian is a sea not a lake.
Though according to Wikipedia it can be classifed as both actually.

The Caspian sea is in fact a lake because it is completely closed off. Seas have to be connected to an ocean (like the Mediterranean and Yellow Sea) or another sea (Marmara, Black sea, etc)
