On a side note, I got to samotega before the TO managed to convert it so now it and Memel are both Danish.

There are many Navarra's like his, all are interesting. Though I'd honestly be more interested in an Navarra>France or Navarra>Spain (preferably Basque France) than colonize all of America. That's just my opinion though, I don't want him to change how he plays.

I refuse to believe that! Sincleric's Navarra is a nation of gods! :mad:. They dragged the Iberian peninsula to that position! No logical answer shall sway my beliefs!

Btw imo it was very bad decision for you to change to protestant. You lose lot of naval FL(wrong religion), and you can no longer controll curia.
In long term Spain will be stronger. I don't let any country to become too powerful. First I weakened Austria badly, then France and now I defeat my biggest enemy, Turkey. The next one will be Britain or France again.

As you can imagine, I also own New Zealand. Taungu is under a personal union and Godwana is my vassal. The last century I have been under attack by Europeans, declaring war on me with their Imperialism CB. I usually either destroyed their fleet or their armies as they landed, occupied their Indian provinces and then waited the war out. Almost all of my Indian provinces were taken from Europeans. All my provinces are of Hindu faith.

Has Portugal moved their capital overseas? :D

They have and it has actually made them the richest country on earth. The last 20 or so years I tried to beat their income, but they always stayed a comfortable 3000 ducats ahead of me, probably also because I never made any attempts to go Free Trade. I'm only trading in Malacca, which however is the richest CoT (over 4000 ducats total value, with all of my provinces trading in it).

I wonder... A country that is free trade... should it have many cot's or little cot's...

Lets assume you have 1 COT, and 1 monopoly in it. You gain 1,5 merchants YEARLY out of it. It gives additional 5 merchants in 3 years and 4 months. Counting base value of +2 merchants, +3 from stability, and +2 from free trade, plus if you got plutocratic, additional +1, you gain this way maximum about 8,5 merchants yearly, which gives 17 merchants for 2 years, which is about 3 COT's, assuming that there is still some chance that you will fail to compete, or lose a merchant here or there, or gain additional merchant from events. Additional COT, give you 0,5 merchant, which mean you gain 5 merchants in 10 years from it. If in whole world there will be about 15 COT's, or less, you will not gain much by making additional COT, as it will slow you down, needing to fill additional COT. But if there is for example like 30 COT's it might be worthwhile to make additional, in order to gain some extra merchants. OF course, this calculation assumes, that you can keep trade in all those COT's over the world.

EDIT: So, if you are free trader, and there are less than 15 COT's or something around that number, and you can destroy a COT, you should consider it. However, if there are many COT's, keeping more COT's than others, can give you certain advantage.

Sorry for large images.

I was playing as Finland from 1399 start, I started as nonvassal. I tried to help Netherlands and Branderburg to rise in power. I never got Netherlands to attack France but Brandenburg eventually formed Prussia and became Emperor. In 1770 I decided to make an extra challenge. I cheated some imperial authority for Prussia and it formed HRE in 1778. Then in 1808 I declared war on the empire. In the end I was in war with every major power: HRE, France, GBR, Sweden (they're in America), Portugal, Castille and Naples. I went for total occupation. I attacked with about 300k army down the shores of baltic sea. HRE had 700k standing army in the beginning. I grinded Empires troops while slowly advancing south in East Prussia and Lithuania. About 85% of HRE cities had lvl 4 forts while others powers hardly had any level 3. I had major manpower problems when I was at the gates of Berlin and Wien. I was forced to change NI's for extra MP.

EDIT: few notes from the game. When HRE formed, they were ofcourse infested with natiolistic rebels. So they were chasing rebels in 60k stacks around Europe often 4-5 stacks in the same province. This kept their WE high and legitimacy low. Close to the start of war I edited their WE away and legitimacy to full.

What would frustate me in the future is that you get all global modifiers from occupied provinces. I got 8 'non core cot' compete chance penalties from occupying HRE. It didn't bother me much but I think that's not WAD. Also 'veteran's home' from occupied lands shouldn't affect me.
