no we fully understand that he's trying to occupy all the COTs in the world and create as many land connections as possible

we also fully understand that his borders are still disgusting and he should feel really bad

No, it's all about the Trade League. The political map is ugly, but the trade map is a thing of beauty.

Its coz he wants to join the balkan and italian parts of the Hansasnake.

Bingo! :) I want a higher naval limit without having to build more naval buildings or getting Grand Navy.

Lisboa usually stagnates and die within a few years though.

Yeah, Lisboa is died. So is Ile de France.

Yeah these borders make no sense. Just absorb the German lands

Never. They're mostly my vassals. I've gathered them between the mighty Arms of Hansa (In fact, the Eastern Arm is still growing) and I shall hold them tight for eternity... (I'd also lose SoI, which I dislike doing since I'm maxed out on SoI so I'd need 100 Prestige to restore a loss). Switzerland has to die, though. They keep breaking out of my Trade League. I make allowances for one or two times, but too many times... there is no greater sin than a disobedient League member.

Finally, someone who understands! :D

A fragmented Holy Roman Empire Circa 1611. Wallachia has been Emperor since 1574:

b6c585.jpg

Yes, I do want to dismantle the Empire. Unfortunately, while most of the Electors have been vassilized (another reason why I'm not going to absorb certain German minors), the current situation surround the remaining Independent electors of Lorraine and Bohemia and the Wallachian Emperor prohibit me from doing so without a great cost in terms of relations and the loss of League members.

Could we get a screenshot of the trade map then?

Sure.

Anything that isn't striped is Evil in my books. Because they mean that they're not in my league for some reason or another, all of which are unacceptable. Switzerland is a prime offender. Provence and Venice I kicked out because they were competing against me in my CoTs. Most of the rest are simply OPMs I haven't gotten around to vassilizing (vassals can't leave my league however rich they are or however much they might hate me). Can you guess what big blob(s) I'll be going to war with soon? ;)

Kurblius, i like your political map. There's something chilling and hopeless about the way you've caged germany between your borders.

What's the advantage to expanding your own trade league again? Does it encourage provinces to trade in your CoTs?

Yup. That and the fact League members can't create a CoT of their own. Used properly, it translates into economic vassalige.

Provinces owned by a country in your trade league will almost always trade in your COTs. It's not a guarantee but a very heavily-weighed factor.
