My go with Japan.

I wasn't able to unify till the 1600's iirc. Was able to westernize once soon there after, wasn't able to finish the job(and modernize military) till the 1790s. Damn lvl6 admin monarchs were my bane in that game. I intended to unite all my culture group which I did, but it was kinda down to the buzzer, last war to annex 4province Wu and take one province from Uber Gondwana ended in 1815. The Nationalism CB that comes w/ lvl 30 Gov Tech was a life saver. Shoulda went for it sooner.

That light green patch in Siberia is whats left of the Ottoman Empire that spanned from the Balkans to there. They ended up in a PU under the Jayalarids who insisted on picking fights with me for some reason. They weren't that far ahead of me at the time(20 to 24 land tech iirc), but they had a ton of MP so I had to resort to scorched earth policies after I lost a army group or two. Burned everything west of Lake Bajkal and just waited for the WE to rack up. They eventually crumbled and were off my radar, the Jayalarids eventually turned on them as well. That was my only major threat, the European powers didn't seem keen on bothering me, but I was a paper tiger for the majority of the time span.

The kingdom of Morea. Morea exists in a Very Hard world with Historical Lucky Nations, and is not likely to grow any larger.

Demetrios II Pailailogos was forced to fight a coalition of Castille, Savoy, Tuscany, and the Papal State in order to carry out God's Will and complete his conquest mission on Athens.

His genius strategy consisted of marching his 3,000 men endlessly back and forth from Achaea to Morea while his brother took the remaining 1,000 and sieged Athens. Faced with this, the 15,000-strong enemy landing parties had no choice but to switch their destination back and forth from Achaea to Morea. In doing so, these forces never managed to make a landing, and their confused superiors across the sea had no option but to call off the war. Historians question this decision, noting that the landing forces were more than sufficient to crush the Morean army at either destination, and also that they could have landed at Athens, instead.

It's about a 10-20 years old photo. Hesse and Meissen were under a PU until I vassalised them. Ryazan is a vassal (inherited them at first, but it gave me problems with GH that I wasn't able to colonise because lack of cores :S )

I'm HRE and Reformed, and I've been slowly trying to convert the empire. It's tough, since Megafrance Next Door is DOTF, so I can't DOW any Catholics myself. Mostly I've been Bestowing Imperial Grace to try and get relations up to diplomatically convert, and that's had fairly mixed results. All I can really do right now. (The one vassal I just can't convert is Cleves - no matter how hard I try, they always reject.)
(Quick question - right now all my imperial reform attempts have been failing, even at like 90% authority. Is it due to the Empire being majority-Catholic? If so, if I convert most of it, will they start passing?)

My army right now is only about 30 regiments - being HRE gives me a forcelimit of like 200, but that would kill my economy.

AFAIK the one Protestant nation is Poland. There may be one or two more. All the electors are Reformed except Mainz and Aquileia. (The electors are crazy - Saxe-Lauenberg, Magdeburg, Brunswick and Bavaria are all electors, and Croatia was one until Austria diplo-annexed them. They're my vassal now since I took those provs from Austria and then released them.)

Weirdly, America is almost untouched by the Europeans. I don't know why. Spain's grabbed bits here and there, but I guess France is too busy eating the other side of Spain and Britain's off in the Med and Baltic and everywhere else.

Oh, also -- see that dot that's my vassal in the Low Countries? That's the Pope. Urbino (of all people!) took Rome, then after about a hundred years got annexed by Toscana.

Gotland , i got them with the teutons , then released them as i didn't want to keep a wrong culture island ... and i managed to be excommunicated despite having the ppe as vassal!

My goal was to conquer all of East Asia without going over the BB limit, but I fell pretty short. It was my first full DW game as a non-Western country and I made some major mistakes.

It was supposed to be Skelleftea as a serparate prov, Vasterbotten will be renamed as soon as i can figure out what name to use. Maybe its just me, i dunno i never heard of that area before, just added it a few days ago, and then i see your location and the name just pops in my head
