While Great Moravia barely oppose any resistance now, I have trouble finding casus bellis against them. The seconds sons are regulary invited to my court and given nice duchies conquered on the infidels-but they are so inept that their own vassals keep revolting.

here is my irish empire, I married a karling who eventually became the queen of east francia and of bavaria, so the current character is the heir to the king of ireland and the queen of east francia and bavaria.(I didn't really expect to inherit that when marrying).

Right now I'm a little bit worried about factions on germany and bavaria and the Norwegian invasion that's going to happen soon. But at least I have money for mercenaries

I still hold the starting Sviþjod area as well. There used to be a small Catholic buffer state between me and the ERE (I was attacked by a Catholic dude and the Byzantines simultaneously for the same duchy so I surrendered to the the Catholic) but my idiot vassal conquered it back, then the emperor holy-warred me and now I share a border with them again.

Really nice work with the Karens ^^ How did you manage to survive the initial situation? How to overcome those nasty Emirs?

My first order was to attack the samanids for the duchy of khiva, and then to attack the yagbuids, who took Itil from the khazars right before I attacked them, then I quickly turned back on the samanids who happened to get a succession war at the right moment, from there I made the Shahdom of Khiva, and waited until the Saffarids got into a succession crisis...

I should also mention that during the time leading up to my explosive expansion I just horded cash for mercs, at one point before I conquered them the Saffarids declared holy war on me, and I managed to lure them into fighting me in merv, where I had the mountains and mercs come defend me,I won even though I was probably outnumbered by 30% or more. After I had the Shah of Persia, the Abassids declared an invasion on me, and I did pretty much the same thing, fought in the mountains until they were exhausted, and then their empire splintered and I mopped em up, the last nail in their coffin was attacking them with a claim on the arabian empire that I had gotten from my abassid concubine mother.

Until I felt secure with the empire title the only buildings I built were the castle town upgrades to increase my income, and almost all of my battles were fought on defense. I used the persian highlands as defense against the mongols later on too, I'd say that terrain is your biggest asset as a Zoroastrian lord.

this is my irish kingdom, my old ruler married a karling princess who eventually inherited east francia and bavaria, so when they both died the child inherited the kingsdoms of ireland, germany and bavaria.

Germany and bavaria are quite stable with no real revolt risk, except for one faction asking for lowering the crown authority.

The real inmediate threat is norway that's preparing an invasion, I hope that all the allies that I've made through europe help me to protect the european part of the kingdom while I spend on mercenaries to protect the island.

There you go, Slavic Kingdom of Poland, won't create the Empire though or might at least change its name to something more sensible like Polish Empire or the Slavic Empire, Wendish just sounds wrong to me.

Man, it's 898, isn't? I play Abbysinia and I haven't taken anything but their core till 894 when I barely managed to get Alexandria after more reloads than in all the games played before combined
So it's quite good I think


PS. I guess I'll post quick AAR with that game here. People seem to like Abbysinia ones.

Played a christian in the old gods for once, started as count Eudes of Chartres, went as follows, fellow count started a faction to put me as duke of Anjou, I joined, the duke surredered the title after a short war, i then betrothed myself to one of the West Frankish princesses, and then schemed my way to the top, by eventually putting that princess on the throne of france twice, I took aquitaine, and putting that princess on the thrones of Italy and Bavaria, then inheriting it all, forming Francia, and then subjugating the remaining kingdoms was simple...

Keeping the empire together after my death on the other hand.... Strong diplomacy I will require My brother is on the throne of Italy, and my second son is ruling in Aquitaine, Carolingians rule the rest... for now.

Duchy of Lithuania>Kingdom of Lithuania>Empire of Carpathia. I chose Carpathia because as a Baltic culture group (Prussian) I couldn't form the Empire of the Wends. The kings of Germany, Pomerania, Bavaria, Moravia, Denmark, Sweden, and Poland are my vassals.

Norse are annoyingly powerfull so I decided to start as a finnish tribe and push them off the map if possible. So far this is the biggest kingdom I've played succesfully with happy vassals
