My empire of Aquitainavarragon in the mid-1300s, starting from the count of La Marche in 1066. Full map not shown due to extreme levels of hideousness; names of regional divisions completely made up.

I started as a county in Sweden ( Sweden was elective monarchy at that time), i became duke and later on managed to acquire the throne of Sweden. I married my son to Byzantine princess and pressed my grandson claim on the Byzantine throne ( who were already pretty messed up by Fatimids (aka Mujhfariddin in later games)). Further, i invaded HRE by being good buddy with pope. Changed my religion momentarily and captured papal land in Italy. Formed roman empire in mean time. I stopped the Golden Horde invasion. On the other hand, i married my dynasty members to female claimants of Golden horde and Illkhanate. I let Illkhanate do my work by completely destroying the middle east region ( including Fatimids). Since i had elective monarchy, I made the my dynasty membor's son ( having a claim on the Illkhanate) as my heir. On coming to power, i claimed Illkhanate for me. Similary, i acquire Golden horde as well although it was bit tricky since i already defeated Golden horde they were residing in Aral Mountains with no holding. So, i assassinated all their emperors till i got my lower vassal guy as their heir, i also granted this guy more baronies and put him on the throne of golden horde by assassination of their ruler. Now, i did the same thing as what i did with Illkhanate. I formed Latin Empire in the end by revoking Kaliopolis for myself although i could have formed it earlier as well.

Yours looks prettier than mine. I started out as Karling Vermandois, and managed to get Aquitaine and Bourbon from inheritances, and then steamrolled a spent Almoravids out of their recently conquered Barcelona and Aragon, and from then on Northern Spain. Ignore the Bohemian Brown similar to the Aragonian one, I've got nothing in Italy or the HRE.

Changing your primary title isn't and doesn't require cheating...

Here on planet earth we have this button called "Make Primary Title" which allows you to change your, well, primary title if you have more than one title in your highest rank. :mellow:

But I am curious as how he managed to get both Byzantines and Latin Empires under the same crown, assuming he started as the Byzantines.

That or the character held all 4 titles (marriage, invasion, etc.) and sgoel just went to the title list and hit "Make Primary" for each one to show. Though I don't know why there isn't just a picture of the title list on the character page.

Is it possible that the Latin Empire conquered the Byzantine (or vice versa), one khan inherited the other, and the two mega-empires were subsequently joined via marriage?

A requirement for forming the Latin empire is that the Byzantine empire does not. Funnily enough when you form the Roman empire, this condition becomes true. You just need to convert to catholicism.

There is a kingdom in Asia Minor in the Ilkhanate screenshot (looks like Italy, but that one already exists so whatever) which is notably absent from all the other screenshots. Speaking of which, how did he acquire both the Ilkhanate and also the Golden Horde title? Is that even possible?

You'd think with 75% of the Byzantine Empire reconquered they'd acknowledge me as Emperor(ress) but noooooo, I need to go and take some grubby places back from the mongol hordes before I can usurp a 6 yr old's title in Croatia :/

Also, hot damn the Aztecs have a 140k Doomstack on the HRE's East Flank while the Golden Horde assaults from the west. The Nestorian Russian empire collapsed :*(
