So I started off as the Duke of Brittany and thankfully due to my many intermarriages with the Karling I've managed to get claims to both France and Aquitaine whom I would went on to conquer. I'm also on the verge inherit the Byzantine Empire due to my character being the heir and son of the Byzantine Emperor. I might try to reunite the Roman Empire, after all I do already control quite a huge part of the former WRE.

Here is my empire which I renamed after the short lived Roman breakaway state. I've also made a custom CoA which I used just for fun ingame.

So I was so excited to show off my French Empire (though I remained a King), and loaded the file up. Low and behold I didn't really CHECK the rest of the map. The Golden Horde are doing very well, I didn't really notice haha.

Currently playing as King Louis IX de Cassells et Capet, my eighth ruler in the year of our lord 1256. My first ruler was a peasant revolt count, his grandson married the last Capet, a deposed Princess so I decided to combine our dynasties to give us a certain degree of prestige. I have inherited most of my possessions, conquest has been toward de jure lands only. The ERE converted to Sunni Islam and are still ruled by the Doukas amazingly. The other major players in the game are the Golden Horde (obviously), le royaume de Morée (my crusader state with their capital in Athens), the Latin Empire of Romania, the Kingdom of Scandinavia and the East African Kingdom of Beja.

Its been such a fun campaign so far!

might be the biggest AI faction I've ever seen... they could create Tartaria AND Persia (might need some of Baluchistan) I believe...

It is! The Sunni Byzantines had a crusade declared against them, and the Italian winner decided to go all Romania.

Completely aesthetic choice. I -love- regnal numbers, and i'm currently on Louis IX (he succeeded Sybille II, who succeeded Philippe VI) so i've got a nice few climbing. An Empire wipes those out and he'd be Louis I, not even, he'd just be Louis. And that kills me inside. So i'm just letting it all drift into de jure France.

my byzantine-roman empire in which i relied on retinues to do pretty much everything(my retinue is now 24k strong). i started off pretty slow, taking southern Italy from the minor countries there, taking sicily, taking portions of croatia from the minors there, expanding slightly east ward. the biggest thing i did in the first 100 years was probably take out the Aglhabid, once the abbasid fell apart i progressed down the coast of the Mediterranean and took Egypt. i then set upon fabricating claims on all of the provinces i needed from italy to form Rome. once i did that it was pretty easy. i was able to vassalize both
Italy and aquitaine due to those sharp Makedons in Bulgaria. the thing that made me mad was those damn umayyad guys... i tried to put one of my vassals on the throne but that's only made it worse! and thorught this entire game ive had to fight jihads (which started at about 850 for no good reason) i lost some large portions of territory to the seljuks when they first arose from the ashes of the Abbisid but other than that its been a stable game, until of course that faction vying for independance that has 2 kings revolts.:blink:


also, i remade the great shicism, no more crusades?

my first ever ck2 game, i had some trouble with holy wars and jihads from those damn muslims and Umayyad sulatnate. everything has been smoother since i formed Rome (and placed two of the king of Bulgaria's sons on the thrones of Italy and Aquitaine) and for added fun i made christianity a heresy!!!

Someone asked about Carpathia being successful. In my first and current game (bought a week ago) the empire is currently standing, formed about 100 years ago, and is ruled by the Arpads. Rulers of Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria and recently, Greece/Western Turkey and 75% of the rest of the Balkans. Not me, btw. I will post pictures when I get the ability to.

My previous Kaiserin was so good, she smashed 2 rebellions and everyone loved me. Then came Poppo, aka Kaiser Poppo "the Completely Unskilled". I had to turn him into a ruthless, merciless tyrant who imprisons and executes everyone he can to stop the rebellions.

My current ironman game 867 start as Dyre the Stranger (FYI I have changed the name and coat of arms of dynasty). I was able to get my Dynasty to throne of Bulgaria (Couple assassinations was needed to do that). Scotland also belongs to my dynasty (my dwarf dynasty member was able to inherit it).
My sister also ruled Kingdom of France a few months (thanks to his son, King of East Francia, who started war against former King of France, who was jailed by King of Aquitaine). However she lost kingdom back to former king who still were in prison and were there end of his life.

It is supposed to be Ukrainian transliterated into Latin. I'm not entirely sure is it right but I like it.

It's also Рим in Ukrainian, but AFAIK Ukrainian І is used for Russian И, while Ukrainian И is similar to Russian Ы.
Or something like that.

There we go, most recent shot. Queen of Ireland, never played Carpathia. Took over Ireland about...Great Grandfather took over Ireland about 100 years ago or so. Jarl of Leinster took most of Castille in a holy war. High CA, not max. Family started out as Kings of Svjbord (whatever) in 867, family controls the Fylkrite. I'm thinking I'll do an AAR of this game.

He was the grandson of a Karling - the father died early, but the heir status passed to his son, who ended up with half of the karling kingdoms. In my current game, the house of Wessex is the new Karling(I actually have higher dynasty prestige than them by now). It's not even 1066 yet.
