Started as Duke of Portucale, lucked out with Umayyads splintering straight away. Had to console-up Navarra (to overcome the Basque requirement) and Galicia (to make it a Most Serene Republic), but otherwise cheat-free.

I'm not sure if the remains of Andalusia will de-jure drift to Portugal (the only kingdom title I still personally hold). If it doesn't, I may console-create it too, but only after Murcia drifts into the Papal State.

Okay, I'm done. No, Andalusia will not de-jure drift to Portugal- it will only de-jure drift to a title held by a non-Emperor UNLESS those duchies are directly held by Dukes of Portugal.

Started as a piddling little count in wales and worked my way up to the Emperor of Brittania. Then things got sorta boring, at least until I started using my military might to interfere with the politics of other realms.

Some decades ago, there was a Karling-led Empire of Carpathia that stretch from the Black Sea to Burgundy to the North Sea. This empire, of course, annoyed me immensely, so during the reign of Bangar's father, Arthur, I managed to get an invasion casus belli from the pope and, well, invaded. Since the Karlpathians were dealing with a Cuman Invasion at the time, I quickly overwhelmed them and took over their entire empire. Germany and Burgundy were almost immediately granted independence. I banished the former child-emperor, granted all of the seized counties and duchies to one of the few remaining Arpads, and then granted the title of Emperor of Carpathia to said Arpad. And then I spent the next few decades propping him up against revolts and Cuman invasions.

Recently, I've been using the orthodox Republic of Amalfi as my punching bag. They'd conquered Rome at some point, so I fabricated a claim, crushed them in a very short war, and granted the county to the Pope post-haste. Needless to say, the pope loves ol' Bangar now. For a while, I could more or less have any given Catholic ruler excommunicated at will. Or have have excommunicated rulers forgiven. Mostly the latter

Oh, and, oddly, the Seljuks actually expanded semi-historically in this particular game, in the sense that they didn't completely ignore Persia. Unfortunately, after the assassination of their Sultan some years ago (*cough*), the Seljuk sultanate fractured into some ridiculous succession crisis.

...multiple times.

They've yet to recover. For the Byzantines, I imagine that the situation over there is like being a 6 year old in a candy store. And everything's 99% off.

The Estonian Suomenuskos have done well for themselves, as you can see. :) Aside from having a 5 year old King. I started as the Duke of Livonia, just because.

For some reason, the High Priesthood decided to park itself in the middle of Poland, so that's been du jure drifted into Lithuania. I hope that the country of Poland doesn't die, and instead slowly drifts westward as I take its holdings.

1024x576.resizedimage

Only the Suomenusko & Tengri religions converted. Norse has kinda fallen apart, with only Denmark representing. (At one time, Denmark, Sweden, Skotland and England all were Norse.)

I should have taken pictures for an AAR. Was an interesting rise. Shame Estonians can't found the Wendish Empire... But oh well. Next challenge: The Golden Horde when they show up. That's gonna hurt.

Can I just, get that mod pack?

I'm working on a link, yes. I'm asking for mission from each individual mod creator so that I can upload a mega mod pack/chef's choice. I just thought it would be easier for those people like me who get confused and frustrated by installing mods and checking compatibility because some have rather complicated instructions. Like VIET, the mod creator of that mod told me only a few of his modules would work. If I didn't ask the the game would crash and I'd be getting frustrated.

edit: OK, so no dice on project balance, permission denied for some reason so I can't provide a download link to mega mod pack.

Ck2 is so easy that posting empires for this game is a joke.

Riiiight. And that's why almost every game I've played has decended into unwinnable civil wars...

Unreformed pagans are fairly easy. I created the Russian Empire in 2 generations (would have been one, but I stupidly created the kingdom of Ruthenia before subjugating all of Norse Rus or Suomensuko Perm. So I had to wait a generation and marry my heir to the Queen of Rus. Just because some situations, religions, start dates happen to be easier or not than others, and because you expanded very quickly in one anecdotal game with an overpowered mechanic, doesn't mean that the game in it's entirety is "easy".

Mods make it more of a challenge and some would say also more fun than vanilla CK2.

do you roleplay? it is easy if you just ignore your character's traits and play as yourself all the time again and again.
