I always felt like there is something missing about the Inti Maya and Nahuatl religions. They have their own mechanics, each one, but as soon as one reforms, they turn into just 5 fixed modifier (non-withstanding any hidden values still being calculated occasionally).

I suggest adding one more, rather big but small at the same time feature to these religion. An option to choose one mechanic to add to them permanently post-reformation.

Basically once you reform, you would be presented with an option to choose one single mechanic, that would henceforth apply to the religion. The mechanics would be modified version of the existing mechanics.

Empowered state clergy - Orthodox Patriarch authority-style mechanic

Holiness of work - Reformed Fervor-style mechanic (available only with relevant DLC)

Religious guidance - Muslim Piety-style mechanic

Chosen patrons - Hindu/Fetishist deity/cult-style mechanic (with different deities for each of the three religions) (available only with the DLC for Hindu or Fetishist).

Religious tenets - Protestant/Hussite aspects-style mechanic (available only with one of the relevant DLC).

Those mechanics would work exactly like the original ones, except they could provide different modifiers (I mean things like army morale instead of manpower or similar). Only one would be able to be chosen for the rest of the given game.
