Overall fairly major, or minor. So there aren't many tomb worlds in general. You do favor them, and start on one. Yes you can become the crisis, that's kind of a big deal. You can be a purifier, or an exterminator to also get apocalyptic bombardment. Now that only allows you to bomb planets in war. I'd love for the Apoc start to get a chance to change regular worlds into tomb worlds. Either as a broken form of terraforming? The ability to bomb empty worlds? I guess I'd love other peoples suggestions as well. Those are the first two that come to mind. I mean you now have 2 ways to make Gaia worlds either a civic, or ascension perk. Now I think as a third way, would be similar to the Gaia civic, but instead it just messes your planet the hell up. Pumping out whatever type of gasses, or blah blah blah to ruin your planet over a period of time. I think perhaps it would be cheaper than the Gaia machine though.

Anyone else?

On a note of Tomb worlds in the game I just started up, next door a tomb world 24, 19 industrial 11 energy, and 10 mineral. That's not a bad find at all. My fungus shall spread through the galaxy!

We should be able to bombard uninhabited planets into Tomb Worlds with Post-apocalyptic, and use Armageddon bombardment in any total war situation. This would at least make Post-apocalyptic somewhat viable, but in my opinion it still needs some kind of event chain related to boosting terraforming techs.

So what I did last night to get an extra was to cull a planet of primitives. They die, and the tomb is born! Through the wastes we spread! That still doesn't really do a bunch in the long run, unless you like overload a game with primitives...

I think it just makes more sense to increase the probability of tomb worlds around planets with the Post-Apocalyptic origin.

Or instead, have them be able to colonize whatever planet type they originally had preference for -and- tomb worlds. It would make them a whole lot more desirable with the Survivors trait and open more options.

Well now they still do have their original planet type as a preference. But stacked with the newest patches for Plantoids, and Fungoids thriving on tomb worlds. They have become much more desirable.

So a fairly old thread, but with the addition of water species, and the Deluge Colossus weapon... I really don't see why we can't have a weapon to do something like irradiating the planet. Seems easier to kind of melt the planet, than to carry enough water to flood 20 planets into being water worlds.

I mean a special Colossus for it is kinda overkill given you can just... bombard planets into a lovely ash-covered wonderland. Not opposed to it, just feels unnecessary given it's a thing you can already do.

afaik it's not something you can already do, unless you're genocidal and have access to armagadon bombardment. And it's not something you can do to your own planets.

Becoming the Crisis is an AP just like Colossus project, and you don't even have to max it out and hit that "Now everyone pile on" threshold if you don't want to. Also we literally just got a Civic about Tombing up your own worlds.

Plus, most importantly, outside of Radiotrophic Pops there's actually *no benefit* to Tombing your own worlds: The advantage for Post Apocalyptic isn't that Tomb Worlds are the best most amazing worlds for you, it's that unlike everyone else, *you don't care* that the world's a smouldering, cancer-inducing wreck. If anything, Tombing your own worlds is pretty bad even for Post-Apocalyptic empires because your non-Survivor pops are still very much not fans. And if you're a Xenophobe empire with no other types of pops, congrats, you probably can do some Armageddon bombardment already!
