CKII is undoubtedly my strategy game of the year. The lack of any fixed campaign goals are one of the major factors that keeps me playing this game, that and the possibility of a mega campaign. Paradox's grand strategy titles are the only series that allows the possibility of playing as a single nation of a large period of history in an enjoyable way. (Civ, somewhat but not to the same extent, and total war is not open enough and doesn't link up as well as Paradox's games do). So with EUIV close on the horizon (and sense they have done it before), I am wondering if Paradox will include a save converter for CKII to EUIV. Every since EUIV was announced I have been hoping that they do include one. It would make my playthoughs of CKII more enjoyable knowing that the realm I have spent hours crafting won't have to end in 1453. Especially after Sunset Invasion and the recent announcement of the Republic. Think of how cool it will be to keep going as the restored Rome, to have the Aztec invaders stay in the next era. And what about in The Republic, having created trade routes carrying over as well? Does anyone else have any similar hopes/theories, or even think that it would be a good idea?

Johan actually was saying about possibility of CK2->EU4 converter, so it is likely (and engine is still the same). If not, fans will make one, probably.

I would like to have it, though. Can be fun to continue the game (if you are not painted all the map in CK2, but consolidated in some region).

Ask not for a CKII->EUIV converter, but what about EUIV->Vicky II?

They keep moving forward and it might hinder the attempts at a grand campaign!
V2 -> HOI 3,
the grand grand grand grand campaign.

Oh, for the sake of being hypothetical, CKII ->EUIV -> MotE -> Vicky III? -> HoI IV? Whose to say that with in the next few years they wont all line up like this in order to create an ULTRA Campaign?

Now we need a game for the Völkerwanderung/Great Invasions time and we can make Rome II -> New Game -> CK II. :D

And don't forget East vs. West. HoI -> EvW.

So we can play for over 2000 years!

It would be a smart idea, hell maybe as some sort of $5 dlc or something cause I would pay for that. One of the things I would love would be some sort of super grand campaign that would go from say Rome 2 and end up in East Vs West. I would pay good money for that. Hell just a CK2->EU4->Vicky 3->HoI4->East Vs West would make me the happiest man on the planet. I would just have to figure out how to play Vicky and HoI.

I think better (and maybe easier to implement without all sorts of weird bugs and stuff) is an in-game map editor, that would let you rearrange the ownership of all the provinces, rename all the leaders, etc. Then you could easily edit the map to reflect your CK2 end game yourself.

I don't like that at all. Too much work. I want a button that goes from one to another.
