Is it possible to change the colors used to show mountain, desert, forest, marsh etc in the "Normal Map Mode" View? I do not mean the extra graphics that appear on some provinces but instead the actual province colors displayed based upon land types.

Is this hard coded? I do not see options for this in colorscales.csv

I would like to make the colors for mountains versus desert more obvious as they do not show up very well with my shading on the edited map.

Thanks

Yes, its possible.

It is in the colorscales.csv file, but it isn't defined as 'mountains' etc. It is the colours themselves. So that plains are green, forests darkgreen, ummmm....hold on

*shuffles around in colourscales.csv*

hmm yes, you may have to experiment yourself. But I do know that the terrain type colours ARE taken from the colourscales.csv file (you should be looking for the greens and browns -possible light orange as well)

Thanks!

In colorscales.csv the following are used:

Green = Forest
Orange = Plains
LightBlue = River
Yellow = Desert
DarkOrange = Mountain
LightGreen = Marsh

I did not test the other colors

There was a chap on here some time ago who made a set by the name of Boldscale; they're the best colourscales I've seen and make everything look a lot better :)

Of course, Ayeshteni and his crownies may tell you otherwise :cool:
