So in the twitter tweets that were released I remembered the "shroud giveth" picture where it read that you made an avatar of the shroud in real space. Now I got to admit that got me curious and excited as to what exactly this avatar will bring, considering he is made from the shroud he has got to pack a punch and they did specify he is a "space faring entity" most likely meaning he is a mobile unit. What if he is like your own personal guardian creature (huge health but focused fire power), if he is will the other paths have something of the sorts to even the odds? (Bio beast seriously if you mastered evolution don't dare tell me you can't figure out how to make a giant space monster there are even physical examples you can use as a base or super computer).

If there are going to be super units I just hope paradox makes their main gun like the ones of the guardians (no charge up time) rather than a titan ship since the titans targets tend to die before it even has a chance of firing its main gun.

Also if you had to in real life which path would you pick? I would go bio I very much prefer to have my mind not connected to everyone else and very much like eating.

I got the impression that the Avatar was less a "super unit" (Unless the event fails and you get the "became an energy being" bad result where it attacks you), and more some sort of... I dunno, probably a planetary modifier or a special station or something.

See it specifically says "spacefaring" meaning it is capable of moving about in space so I doubt it would be a planet modifier.

That does sound like some sort of high-power "ship" in game terms. Probably not quite as powerful as a guardian, but pretty close.
I am not so sure. Shroud seems to be RNG based. It'd be unbalanced if someone's fleet strength quadrupled based just on dumb luck.
I don't think this "ship" will be stronger than 2K.

...you do understand that "RNG based" and "balanced" is just opposite concepts? ;)
Also when it's becaming possible to summon Avatar, you'll have at least 4 fully filled tradition trees. I believe you can actually expect having powerful fleet to this point.

i agree, when you think about it the first ascencion perk you can take allows you to build dyson sphere and stuff, yet you can start to unlock one the three "ascensions" (psionic, bio and synth) only once you have your fourth ascension perk. I don't see the logic of not giving the player something bigger than the dyson spheres and ring worlds for one of the three paths.

Plus i got once the baby ether drake to 12k by itself I really don't see why the avatar should be below that.

Recieving a simple 2K ship seems like a very crappy reward considering how far in the traditions you have to get to enter the shroud. My guess is yeah it won't win wars on its own but can make the difference if paired with an escort.
