Possible sales figures?

I know this is a little iffy on terms of this thread is a little dead, but I would like to point of something that I just discovered.

Paradox can easily find out how many Rome units they have sold if they go here(you have to scroll down a little until "RomeUsers".) So far there are 1029 units registered. So when the game is in stores the number should skyrocket so we should get a more accurate figure.

That only works if you assume everyone who buys the game will both a) come to the forums and b) register. Which I doubt will be a very high pertentage.

This number should be accurate for now (maybe a couple hundred more). As most people who would of downloaded Rome on the first day would no doubt know about the forums. And those people should realize all of the extra content you get from registering, so I don't see why this number is way off.

Though I will agree with you that by the end of the month the number will be far off, as people who buy from the store will most likely not know about the forums and therefore not register.

Well. I was reading this forums for like 3 years before I decided to register... And I played EU games even before I found out about this forums.

Anyway, any estimate about how many Rome copies were sold? Thousands, tens of thousands?

My guess is that the number of people that actually register on the forums is less than 5%.
