killing time until the game is out i was thinking what possible DLS could be. as i play a lot of eu4 and have most of DLCs i will try to figure out what could they be. order may be off.

1. as in pre-order there will be some but not much cosmetic DLCs, just to have much more variety of aliens and ships.
2. deeper combat system, i think it will be much more like eu4/hoi4 combat system, not having ship experience but having good admiral will ensure some advance tactics, which could be researched. maybe even admirals will ask you to build a specific ship types which they think they need. this will be awesome feature, just think AI (your admiral) asks you to build a ship which is mostly defensive and can be shield for the bigger ships and etc. this would change the weakest point of the game to strongest.
3. ship limit, right now as i can see only thing you need just money and enough planets to build large fleets. i think it would be awesome to add population variable in this too. more population you have on planets more fleet you can have.
4. more techs. adding this will change the late game's possibilities.

i will change to advance dip features which can be implemented with other paradox games in mind which can be valid in space empires also.

1. first of all spying on rival empires. for the space empires information would be critical, so for example having info on their ship builds would be critical if you want to declare war on them.
2. supporting rebels, this should crumble the big empire so it will be easier to destroy them.
3. steal tech , this will give upper hand over the enemy empire.
4. annex vassals, i think it's already in game.
5. in war ask vassal to attack specific target, planet etc. ofc they can't say no if it's impossible them to win.
6. asking allies to help in different planet annexation or asking them to attack different planets, ofc this will be much more likely to say no if they don't want that planet.


just brief ideas i had after watching last episode.
