Hi, I'm an enthusiastic player of mods such as misc and D & T and I was wondering if there was some way to add the normal inbuilt Steam overlay to the game (e.g. press shift, tab to bring up friends, screenshots etc.). Becuase I've registered the base game with steam the overlay works fine, but as soon as I add a mod it stops working.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers :D

Go to the steam library and click add non steam game. Browse your EU3 folder for the eu3.exe file you use to manually open eu3 and add it. When you open eu3 from steam using that instead of the original eu3 it should open the menu where you can choose which mods you want to play. It should now have a steam overlay.

The reason it doesn't when you play mods is because the only way to play mods is to open eu3 via the eu3.exe file, since steam will automatically launch the default game without opening the menu. The above basically makes it so that steam will launch the menu.

You can also right click on EU3 in your steam library, select properties, and edit EU3's launch options so that it automatically loads a specific mod.

My launch options look like this:

-mod Magna Mundi
