The problem is that anyone expressing disgust with anything related to paradox is automatically a hater or how they like to say "part of a vocal minority". Paradox is great, they make great games, I love EU4 (although not in its current state), I'm sure the developers are the most passionate people and they all have great intentions. But the latest management decisions have not been the greatest ones. I bought every single EU4 DLC, full price nonetheless. I bought this 20€ DLC on release date because I trust Paradox, and so far they've done great except for a few mishaps. A simple message saying something among the lines "Guys we are sorry to have released the DLC in the current state, we've had problems in regards to the development of Leviathan because of reason X, we are changing things in X department that will allow smooth future releases of upcoming expansions and updates, the next bugfix patch will be on X day, we recommend to everyone having problems to revert back to 1.30 and refund the DLC until further updates fix the game". Spoken from heart and not in corporate jargon.I doubt that anyone here hates Tinto or Paradox, people here hate broken releases such is Leviathan. Players here love EU4. I myself would like to start and play EU4 however I don't want to start because of numerous problems and bugs that are plaguing the game. I am all for positive attitude however in this case it's to early for that.
I agree. Eu4's problems began far before Tinto (1.30 was also pretty broken), but also, other Paradox games are running into trouble (Hoi4's community is almost as angry, Stellaris's new update broke the late game, Imperator Rome's terrible launch and getting shelved after being fixed, etc). This isn't a Tinto problem, this is a Paradox wide problem. But the thing is that we don't know anything about the state of eu4 development, people are theorizing this release had problems because PDX Tinto is a new studio, but 1.30 also had problems on release. And as a Catalan it breaks my heart that people are putting all the blame in PDX Tinto.
This all is exactly in my mind and I totally agree on every single word. The problem is that anyone expressing disgust with anything related to paradox is automatically a hater or how they like to say "part of a vocal minority". Yes, that's what we all want. If we didn't want a good game we wouldn't be here complaining about it. You don't see me on the Call of Duty forums arguing they should bring back old school gameplay and not turn into a Fortnite clone, becasue I couldn't care less for those games for more than 10 years now.Keep up the good work
