portugal question: I keep losing provinces

Hi,

I'm playing portugal in the demo and i keep losing my north african possessions to morocco. Sometimes it's because of a war with france that england decides to give up. Sometimes i just lose it for no apparent reason.

I read somewhere I can prevent this by stopping the war leader from using my provinces as bargaining chip. I cannot, however, for the life of me find this magical button.

Go to the war screen, there's a checkbox on top, deselect it to prevent the war leader from taking/giving provinces from/to you.

Click the warscore shield at bottom right - the check box is at the top right of the resulting screen.

It badly needs an option to have it off by default.

England is the War Leader. France ALWAYS tells them give up your provinces. There is a Check Box that you can uncheck in War Screen. Click on the Shield while at War. It is in upper Right hand corner.

Once you turn it off once it stays off, even between games.

One thing I learned in my game as Portugal.
Be friends with England and Spain/Castille. Never ally.

As Castille will always keep declaring war on Morocco and lose.
England is always tangling with France.
I find its not worth it as I want to focus on my oversea endeavors.
