Plot twist: iberians were the populations of the eastern and southern part of the iberian peninsula (not the whole region then!), while the western part (portugal) was populated by lusitanians, a completely different kind of natives, called by the romans celt-iberians, which was also wrong because they were completely celts and not iberians at all. Only under the romans the whole hispania got unified, with its provinces hispania citerior (south) hispania ulterior (north) and hispania lusitania, baetica, tarraconense etc, and the romans used hispania as the name for the whole region, because they knew that there was difference between iberians and western pops

Fun. But I assume that's the setup before the Romans arrived? I don't think that can be used as a reference after roman occupation, let alone at the XV-XVI centuries.

Here's my proposal. The main historical Iberian kingdoms/regions on the Portuguese outer shield (which already has castles!).

I prefer the actual color Portugal (green) that is because of my modern view of Portugal, but the historic color at that time would be the light blue for sure.

To be honest though, a Dynamic Flag DLC would totally sell. Since Paradox Fans love optional cosmetic stuff.

We like to look at maps makes sense we like the flags, names, fonts types, font sizes.

The current Scandinavian flag is already based on Danish Scandinavia. The Danish union kings took the three crowns that had been the royal coat of arms of Sweden and repurposed them as a symbol of the three kingdoms, Denamark, Sweden and Norway, united under one king. That is why it today can be found on the Royal Coat of Arms of Denmark.
