Portugal Colonist In Indus

I am currently playing as portrugal and i am colonizing thanks to some suggestions from another thread. The richest province i have seen is Indus. I want to send a colonist there but neighboring it is the Mughal Empire, and they hate me, -200. Should i place the colonist or what?

Are you playing latest IGC versions? Then Mughals will sooner or later DoW you, thirsting for expansion. They have strong armies and good leaders, so you better make Indus a fortified city real soon.

They usually go for a 250 ducat peace after a while anyway.

Just don't forget that they have some awesome leaders with high manuever values

When playing Spain I, always use the province Madras as a base for further conquests in India. Then you'll have the perfect platform to invade the Monsur-kingdome. Then you have established yourself in India and can assemble troops to engage the Mogul's empire.
