You also need many colonies to offset effects of rampaging inflation.

Well, that's why I believe in research as opposed to an extra colonist. My inflation is still at 0% (then again I have more mayors than god by now... just kidding) despite 2 gold mines and 8.5 monthly gold income.

Ah, btw, do you think what for you got Almeida? Go and Annex Morocco and Algiers (and Maybe Hafsid empire and Mameluks too)

Which would lead me in a direct conflict with Turks, with Turks landing in Delaware, Hafsids - in South America, Algierian troops - in Africa. Check the 5th post from the top (or bottom, if you're already on the reply screen) for screenshots... it was a nasty war.

Question - how far did you get in your games? What are the commodity prices in 1750s and on? Am really curious... The big 4 (Chinaware, spices, tobacco, ivory) are starting to fall in my game after having risen for 100 years - and that is not due yet to the overproduction... Not yet.
