There's this one fungus that I saw glows, I'd like more elements of that, some kind of shifting/changing/colourful element to some of the portraits. I also really like the fungus that took over the cat but maybe we could have a symbiotic relationship represented too? Not necessarily also with the fungus. Like two species that have evolved with each other, in tandem, for eons and now basically come as a packaged deal. I'd also like something that just looks graceful and flowing as fuck.
Wolves!
Also Puffins, whales and dolphins (which apparently aren't technically whales?), some more humanlike mammals, koalas, maybe some arachnids and fish (not sure what phenotype that would be), and mold.
ETA: And equines and hedgehogs! #MakeSpaceCuddlyAgain
Maybe things like snakes or chameleons for Reptilians. Could always do with more Mammalians that aren't overtly inspired by the ones here on Earth , perhaps some more traditional 'rubber foreheads'. Can't really think of ideas for the other 3 types they're in a good place - Fungoids in particular you've done an amazing job on!
For mammalian, some space-dolphins would be cool (for the obligatory HHGttG reference), perhaps a space-elephant (though there is one that might already be based on them), and a proper space-dog (to go with the space-fox). I'd also agree with more insect species (space-spiders, space-rhino beetles, space-ants, etc).
I'd like for some species to be obviously a lot smaller or a lot bigger than the average human-sized ones. Having huge, fat things fill half the screen when talking to them would be interesting and flavourful. (Ruthless capitalists anyone?) So would having tiny pixy-sized things who just sit in some kind of suit to not seem completely outsized by all those humans and space-penguins.
