Not so much "non corporeal" beings except maybe as an end game crisis, but everything else, yeah! I would love to see creatures that are far more alien looking!

Yes i would rather see all the different species asymmetrical from each other, in that they need different ingame mechanics rather than having a different portrait, planet and ethos. The game start is already symmetrical minus the elder races.

I don't get the hate for fantasy races in sci-fi setting, there's bound to be some Elven or Orc or whatever races somewhere in the universe and I for one would love to see some in Stellaris.

I have no problem with the races themselves, but with how overused and generic their aesthetics are. There are many, many more worthwhile possible additions to future DLCs that I'd much rather receive before some Fantasy Races DLC.

(we need more options to make an very specific character, why ? because the most players want really to identified with his character and more variation make the atmosphere deeper because the universe don't look so "copy paste"
All i want is this:

an Hybrid DLC
so that different species can make baby´s together.......to produce hybrids
and that baby's have random stats from their parents and skills too
BUT when an species is to different they cant make this.... like an Living rock and an Fluid species when you understand what i mean :D

and new species/variation dls
with:
Robots
cloud-things
element-things
More Variations of clothing
more variations of colors of the skins, fur or clothing's
more variation of swatch/patterns of the skins, fur or clothing
more variations of hair styles of every species (when they have hair)
the option to chose of an female or male looking character of each species

I want to see humanoids, that basically look like humans, but have weird haircuts or makeup: 60's sci fi aliens.

Also, alternate appearance for robots (maybe a unique appearance per species category. Bird robots look different than fungoid robots which look different from Mammalian robots. They all make the robots to resemble themselves.)

I also throw in a vote for non-humanoids and/or races that don't conform to our parameters for life. I strongly believe that we only think that certain things are NECESSARY for life to exist because that's what we need to live and in our arrogance we assume that ours is the only way. I would also like those portrait packs to be released alongside some kind of "Outsiders" Expansion that lets us play as said non-traditional races with entirely new gameplay mechanics and civilization capabilities/limitations. I think the biggest thing that's going to hold Stellaris back is the attempt at "balance", which is going to throw off the asymmetry that basically defines sci-fi because we can only play as humans or Klingons instead of vastly stronger races like the Borg or Breen.
