Especially in two cases:

1. When other people's wars end. A brief summary of the terms would be nice. Who won, and if territory changed hands.

When two empires on the other side of the galaxy you aren't watching settle things, you don't always know what the changes are.

2. When your systems finish production, rather than a notice that the queue is finished, tell us that the visitior center (or whatever) is finished.

This could act as a reminder of what we intended for that system in the future.

I agree on the first point. Information on foreign relations is sparse. The names of the empires are often meaningless to me.

A log (with more detailed information) would be nice. Trying to remember wtf I was doing when I load a save game after a day or two is not fun. Sometimes I rename my home solar system (and ohers around it if I need more words) to remind me.

And yes, the whole "Sirius III has finished building some stuff but we're not gonna tell you what" isn't very helpful.
