What I loved about Europa Universalis 4 was being able to see my manpower, but one thing that EU4 and Stellaris alike leave out is population. One addition to this already fantastic space RTS, that I would very much enjoy to see, is a population feature, before you close this thread let me explain. In science fiction universes such as Star Trek, Star Wars, Halo, etc. there are species with planets teeming with life in the billions. My suggestion is to add a population bar (Like a number such as, "Planet Name" Population: 1,000,212,154) to a planets information, the war menu, and to the main in game screen, this population would rise and fall due to factors such as, migration access, war, open or closed borders, traits, and other such factors. During a war the amount of people killed or lost would be displayed while in the war menu (Like Hearts of Iron IV) and would effect diplomacy, so if you decided to use terror bombing the effects on a population would be much higher, but if your type of government is more collectivist the amount of people killed will effect your diplomacy less and the opposite for individualist. Another affect population would have would be upon a races strength compared to another race. Also the main in game screen would display your total population across all your worlds.

Manpower, so this would work just like EU4 and the traits you pick when creating a race such as rapid breeding or slow breeding would increase or decrease your population and manpower. For races with slow breeding they would require less manpower for ships or naval positions, whilst the opposite for rapid breeders. A building on land that could potentially increase manpower would be a naval academy or another type of related building or space station add on. During war you could use a edict to increase manpower. Each Pop would represent a certain number or population, perhaps a few hundred or so thousand when they start off on a colony and as they begin to fill up all the areas, the population begins to rise as well. Another Race that migrates to one of your planets that is a rapid breeder would increase a planets total population, but may even cause new events such as job loss to foreign races, free labor, riots for race equality (especially for xenophobe empires), and other events.

The possibilities for this addition are almost unlimited, these were just some of the major points I wanted to include, and that I could think of off the top of my head. There are many more options that could be put in, and if you would like to share your ideas please do so, criticism is appreciated but please at least make it constructive.
