i used the revolution event to force austria into a democracy because political reforms didnt do the trick.

Once you are a con mon you cannot change to a democracy by reforms, only revolution.

I hate to bring this up if it is a topic that comes up every other day or so, but I haven't been looking at the forum for a while so a lot of this is all new to me: What exactly are all the things changed in Darkrenown's mod? Do you need VIP? Do you need the betapatch? If the answer to the last two questions are no that would be really spiffy.

Well Rafiki beat me to it, but yeah, I have a VIP and a non-VIP version. The non-VIP version is currently more up to date since the next VIP will include my mod anyway. There's a "Read about it here" link in my sig for details on what it does, feel free to ask if you have any questions after reading it I haven't tried it without the betapatch, but it should work fine. I'd reccomend gettign 1.03b if it'll work with your version though, not for my mod, just because it fixes other stuff.
