PopStars - a musical AAR

Attention ladies and gentlemen!

I have decided to write another AAR after 'Leiv Of Brian' is finished. *sees people acting surprised* And it (Brian that is) might be finished this weekend, actually, provided that mr. Alcohol doesn't have too much of an impact on me.

The state to play: N/A
Difficulty: Most probably Normal/Normal
Aims of the game: Ehrm, do I need those?
The AAR: Every post in the AAR from me will be a well-known pop song, with slightly changed lyrics to suit the action... an ambitious project? Oh, yes. I know. And the lyrics will be in English as well, so no Norwegian gibberish and any excuses like 'well, he's quite famous in Norway'.

Which by the way leads me to my nickname. 'Norgesvenn' is a term much used about foreign pop singers (well, by their own definition) that have a large fan base in Norway. Strangely, they seem to have no such thing elsewhere. Examples? Bonnie Tyler, Randy Crawford (the female singer, not the guitar-wielding guy), Smokie, Nazareth and other bands/singers presumed dead by most other countries...

Ahem. Well, I'm ready. But, don't expect more than a verse or two. For each song, I mean.

I'm quite decided on being a minor. The point of this AAR is not to show how good (well, I'm not) a EU player I am. It's more a combination of a keen interest for music and history.

Prelude – Or What Country Do I Play, Then?

PopStars will follow the old 14th century band ‘Serbia’ into a new era. Can they regain some of their former fans, or will they be swallowed by the mighty Sultans Of Swing or those Opera-crazed Austrians. I suppose we all remember Serbia’s huge hit, ‘Oh, Kosova’, but here it is again.

And so 'Serbia' did a tour in Bosnia, and conquered a real fan base there. The band was pleased. Both Mïk Jagr and Këÿth Rïkardovic exclaimed:
- "Yeah, we love Bosnia, we really do. It got us 'started up'. actually. We're looking forward to another tour, and we've got some great new material. Nosiree, not your old 'Jumpin' Jäk Flâsh' here".

So, being popular in Bosnia, 'Serbia' wondered if they should try to have a concert with 'Thë Bëta-less' from Turkey, who currently topped the charts. Or should they try to reach the Italian Top Ten, a position held by Venice Presley?

Mïk and Këïth were thinking. The audience in Banat, Croatia and Pest had been throwing rotten fruit at them, particularly during their rendition of "Ünder mÿ Thü^mb" and "Päïnt ït Wlak"... Why, oh why?

They were still barely ahead on the Albanian "Töp Tën" though.
