Not sure if this is a bug, but one of the patch notes for 1.1 was "Barbarians are no longer smart enough to use zone of control propagation," or something like that.

But in the screenshot below, my troops are unable to move past the city of Spina in this war because of the barbarian-held fort in Bononia, which is in a country neutral to me. So I either have to transport my men around with boats or wait until Boi takes that fort back from the barbarians. Kind of annoying.

I assume every AI country hates you because of AE?

I've been having the same problem with Rome, with 0 AE. Looking around at other countries, it seems the AI is strongly prioritizing importing trade goods to every province of their country, as almost all provinces on the map are at their import cap. This leaves nothing behind for the player to import.

The statement was their silly way to say that if barbarians take a fort it will not autotake the surrounding area like it does when you take a fort (like what is currently happening in Ravna).

I think when you siege Spina back from the barbarians it will no longer block you. It would be interesting to see the fort map since it would show zones of control.

I did check out the fort map and it was indeed the fort that was blocking my access, i don't know why I didn't screenshot the ZOC mapmode. Even after taking Spina, I had to wait for Boi to take Bononia back before I could move past. I don't think barbarian forts in neutral countries should be able to block movement since you can't enter the country to take the fort back yourself.

It would be nice to have a save of that.
Did you recheck the fort map after taking Spina because that no longer makes sense. With them holding Spina it makes sense since the barbarians are aggressive towards you. Once you took it from them the fort should no longer effect it.

I didn't check the fort map again but I was still unable to move the troops forward after taking Spina, and my vassals were using boats to transport their men past it.

Nice that you lisen to the community:). Now how about making urban development worth it?

100 civic power and -10% tax is not worth it as 1 civilization value and 1% growth is not much for the price. Compared it to a oratory tech which is 2 civ in all cities.

I want to make Roma great but I dont want to feel Im obviously wasting point doing so. Making a city from mud into marbles should be worth it.
Agreed however there going to be getting rid of mana in the next update soo there probably not too worried about it till then.

Honestly I hate the development system, and the mana cost (similar to eu4, it's worse in eu4) so cant wait for that next update! This game is gonna be awesome.

I decided to call a potential co consul to trial because he was irredeemable (0,0,2,4 stats) with only a 39% chance of success. I thought I read that if he was NOT found guilty I would pay tyranny, but he was convicted and stripped of his command, but I still gain Tyranny.

I may have read it wrong, anyone else try this?

*EDIT* just re read the tooltip, but it does sort of illustrate one of my other points -

Forcing war through the senate - 5 tyranny (ok I get this)
Calling someone to trial for crimes they did not commit but are found not guilty - 5 tyranny
Calling someone to trial for crimes they did not commit but are found guilty - 5 tyranny
Going after some slanderers of someone you are trying to be friends with - 5 tyranny

I'm sure there are lots of other examples, but there are clearly actions on that list that would not be viewed as tyrannical as the others. I would probably go with 5,3,2,2 or something along those lines.

With the new fix. Pirates are able to still raid ports after being defeated, with ships in the port. The ships in the port are the ones that defeated the pirates in the screenshot and returned to repair. You will notice they are in the merc mode, not pirate.

Bug: AI's nations that are at war with each other, make peace, are then able to immediately become allies. This is ignoring the negative factors that both should have against each other, such as AE. The player cannot see the diplomacy values/opinions of what the AI's think of each other so it is not possible to get a screenshot. There should be a no allies/defense league function similar to the values the player sees.

It would be really nice to have an election tab, where we could view all the leading candidates. I often have to squint to see who the alternates are then dig around in the family tab to match a name and decide if I want to interfere in the upcoming election. Sometimes characters have the same name, which furthers the difficulty.
