The feature first appeared in HoI (2002) following EU II's release. I immediately petitioned Paradox requesting it. Alas, we will have to wait until EU III for it. Another feature that made its debut in CK was toggling map icons on and off like the city graphic and CoAs, etc. I should also like that for EU III.

As mapcolour does not change when you occupy a province its not that important is it? And in comparison to HoI or Victoria one does not need to maintain frontlines etc. which is easier to keep an overview on the political map.

In EU2, knowing the type of terrain is much more important than knowing who controls what province. And having armies showing up on political map would make a real mess...

A button to toggle troops on/off in any map would be nice...

I always use the political map in Vicky, it would be nice if it was possible to do it with EU2 too.

CK got around that quite well.

Occupation is still vastly important. In war its (generally) the only way to get a good enough warscore to demand what you want. Also unless the provs are your cores you can't demand them in a peace deal without control. It would be nice though if the political map showed some recognition of who controls it beside the flag.

I agree with you, that would be the best thing for me, sometimes troops are needed in the political map, (e.g. it'd be much more easier to begins wars 'cause u know exactly if your troops are correctly positioned)

There is still the diplomatic mode to get around the problem.
