This review, like most of them is almost an exact copy of every other one I've read basically detailing the gamplay, so I won't bore you with that..alas, its not a big review either.
Some extracts..
'This game, was created by the Scandinavians and I'll put all your doubts to rest, it's revoltionary..'
(reviewer mentions how you can play Poland-Lithuania in many scenarios including the Grand campaign, I think he's bollock excited over this, but doesn't show it..)
'The Authors simplified many elements in the game, others have been perfected. This causes some devilish chaos when playing..'
(The reviewer was particularly happy regarding diplomacy, and all its little complexities, however stressed that as I stated above the game can get to 'messy' and chaotic at times)
final comments..
'Despite some small problems, EU is the only game I've been playing the whole week, usually between 2-3 hours a day. When I'm not playing it I'm planning strategies, diplomacy between friendly countries, wars. Europa Universalis, Europa Universalis, Great game, GREAT!!'
Other peoples comments,
'I'll soon have a computer, when I do, the first game I'll buy is EU'
'fantastic'
'Supposed to cost 99PLN, I'm saving my money already!'
'This is heavens above Larrego (whatever that is)!!'
'It's too similar to Imperialism I & II'
'I'll reserve my comments for later, I've been disappointed before with other such games..'
'After this review, I can't wait to play it..'
'I agree with the reviewer..'
'This is the best strategy game ever; its total'
'Finally we'll take our revenge with the Russians!'
'I think I'll buy this..'
'Only the Swedes could create such a silly game..' (ouch)
'I'm sure the game will be worthy of play..'
The review on the game box apparently states these scores: '8/10, 9/10, 5/6, 5/5 10/10'
I don't know what they stand for, but they're obviously pretty damned good.
Do I look happy? Yes I bloody am, no Paradox, you can go buy me a beer
