Hello guys, I am currently doing the classic long Poland campaign to get a few achievements, including One King to Rule!
Now, for this one I need to go through The Struggle for Royal Power disaster in the age of Absolutism but one of the prerequisites is that the event The Pacta Conventa and the Henrykian Articles has triggered BEFORE the age of Absolutism, which it does only if you have a ruler with at least one skill of less then 2 and "is triggered only by a new ruler". Does this mean that it fires immediatly after you get a new ruler? And if so, should I cheese it so that I get it to fire?
I'm asking because I am like 50 years away from the age of Absolutism and I FINALLY got a (young) ruler that fits the criteria but no event yet and I really don't wonna restart the campaign just for this!

Thanks in advance

The Pacta Conventa event doesn't require it to be before the Age of Absolutism to fire. all you need is for your shitty ruler to come to the throne, or get a new one and the event should trigger, as long as you don't have all your Nobility Privileges full. At any point in the game, the Pacta Conventa event can fire, as long as your ruler has a stat of 1. (Not 2, just to clarify that doesn't cause it to trigger). The event will ALWAYS trigger whenever a ruler with a 1 stat assumes the throne, but only once obviously.

I am worried about this, the first Jagiellon was a 441 and the event didn't fire and now I just got a 640 and it hasn't fired yet. Admittedly I have played very little since he came to power because I thought it's better if I ask on the forum first.

The 6/4/0 should've triggered it. Are other events triggering, there used to be a bug where no events would trigger on pulses but they all spammed you on a reload, so try reloading your game.

The first Jagellion won't trigger it as you have to be an Elective Monarchy and get a new ruler, so the first doesn't apply as you weren't an elective monarchy before that.

Ok guys, I found out that the modifier of the pacta conventa that I was looking for in the "Country Modifiers" screen has been changed in 1.30 and is now a nobility privilege that activates with the event. I'm guessing that it did fire with the first Jagellion and I didn't remember.
Thanks everyone!
