Okay, I'm curious why the provinces of Poland and Teutonic Order are so ahistorical and artificial?

No area in EU4 is exactly historically accurate.

The two pictures you posted are 22 years apart; if you include the lands ceded in the first picture I think it's a good enough representation.

Given user interface constraints, I'd say it's preferable to it being the size of Hamburg or Lübeck.

In a mod I'm working on, focused on the Baltic and North Sea regions, I have Memel and Wystruc represent the western and eastern portions of Lithuania Minor. Lithuania. It is big enough to see that way.

Of course the whole Baltic Sea region is kind of a fantasy of pretty cartography anyways. Even using current provinces: Memel and Wystruc should have Lithuanian culture, Dorpat should be Estonian ("Livland" was about 50/50 Estonian/Lithuanian), and "Old Prussian" should not exist. Plus a lot of provinces are drawn such that they have two parts which were very distinct historically. At a minimum splitting the Pomerelian countryside (Polish/Kasubian) from Danzig (German), and Masuria (Polish culture, part of Ducal Prussia) from Warmia (Prussian culture, part of Royal Prussia), would seem like no-brainers, no matter how much you want to simplify the map.

Somewhat related: please, fix the cores given by the "Form Prussia" decision. Why does it give a core on Semigalia? It was never, ever Prussian. Same for the province of Kurland. Why, in the world, does forming Prussia give a core on Kurland??
