man! Lol! a lot of them. One of those ruins is located a few kilometers from my city (well 25 km exactly). It is Zamek Tenczynski w Rudnie. (Tenczynski's castle in Rudno town) Town of Rudno lies 25 km west of Krakow near A4 motorway.
Swedes sieged tenczynski castle because there were rumours that polish king before escaped to Silesia left part of the polish treasure here. After capture it they learn it was a mistake.
You should also visit Krzyztopór which i mentioned before.

I was in Krzyztopor (literally Cross and Axe) a few years ago. It was undergoing conservation. It's a really.... well... ruined ruin. There's nothing there, just the walls. Oh, and there also is an underground which I didn't go into, dunno, might be interesting.

Do you guys think if the Swedes succesfully invaded Poland and Radziwill would've become King it would've been better for Poland?

Gnida Boguslaw a good ruler? Errr....

Sure, our country was a mess back then, but as Saxon times showed, it could be ruled only from the inside. A mediocre and pathetic puppet controled from Sweden would mean only one thing - a civil war. Especially that he would have much of the noblety and even the peasants strongly against him (not a strange thing when you consider the looting the blonde hordes commenced in Poland).

But note that neither of the Radziwills had a chance to become a polish king. After the treaty of Radnot the most probable scenario was the partition of Poland between Sweden, Brandenburg, the Kossaks and Siebenburgen / Siedmiogród (forgot the english name). Boguslaw 'Scumbag' Radziwill would probably have only some Lithuanian duchy, nothing more.
Cheers

There is a decent exhibition on the polish cavalry in the Polish Army Museum in Warsaw. Lots of info on the Deluge. I guess you can find lots of other stuff in the Czestochowa Monastery Museum.
Cheers

Definitely visit Czêstochowa then. There are still shells from swedish cannons placed in the walls of the Monastery of Clear Mountain, Hall of Knights with many symboles of the epouqe and Treasury Hall.

Try these names while looking for translations: Henryk Wisner, Jan Wimmer, W³adys³aw Czaplinski (Wladyslaw Czapliñski), Zbigniew Wójcik (Wojcik), Witold Klaczewski (K³aczewski). I recommend you books of Frost still, as he included biblioghraphy more feasible for non-polish speakers. Unfortunately I don't have his book at hand right now.

Might be helpful for our non-polish speaking friends as well.

I can't remember the exact adress, but nobody knows it for shure. It's the exact city centre, Aleje Jerozolimskie Avenue, the last building before the bridge. As you leave the Warszawa Centralna train station (or tube station Centrum) you should take any tram heading eastwards (towards Praga district) and get out at the 'Muzeum Narodowe' tram stop. You'll see three huge buildings: the Party Comitee, the National Gallery, and the third one: Polish Army Museum. You're there.

Recently (well, a few years ago) they opened an open-space exhibition of tanks and planes in 'Czerniaków Forts'. It might be somehow hard to get there as it's quite far away from the centre, but it's worth it. See the for yourself...
