I haven't played Poland in Cornflakes yet, because I've been playing all of the updated nations.

As Poland I used to always give Germany Danzig, and then let them declare war on the allies. Once at war with the allies I would justify to retake my core state (Danzig). I would then declare war on Germany, join the allies and take over as much land as I can. I would annex as much of Germany as I could until Russia justifies for Eastern Poland. Then just to beat the Russians with the help of the allies if needed.

If you want to join the axis or the commintern I've found it to be much easier.

I've never joined the "bad guys" before, it gives me the heebejeebies (lol) What sort of division builds are strong and powerful nowadays?

The rule of thumb is building up the airforce first, and then roll out your medium tanks. Your standard infantry should be 20 width with artillery and anti-tank support. Just the minimum stuff to hold the line.

Yes to both questions. And get some CAS planes too! Those help with ground combat tremendously. Also, watch this following short video by Reman. He explains combat width pretty well there.

[HoI4] Why 40 Width Divisions Are Better Than 20 Width

How do you build a 10 width division for Poland?

The template builder allows players to either build templates de novo, or modify existing templates.

It costs experience points (XP) to modify or build a 10 width infantry template, to include building a template consisting of 5 infantry battalions.

Open up the template builder and practice building a few templates.

If you need XP, give yourself 555 experience points by:

1. press the tilde key (looks like this: ~ )
2. pressing the tilde key will open up a chat box.
3. type the following into the chat box:
xp 555

If you're playing historically and not conquering anything before WW2 starts it's going to be quite hard to equip enough 40w infantry divisions to cover the front, let alone produce significant amounts of CAS or tanks.
